In the latest TV ratings, Fox’s Labor of Love failed to deliver, debuting to just 909,000 total viewers and a 0.2 demo rating, leading out of the latest episode of whatever Celebrity Watch Party is (1.4 mil/0.3). TVLine readers gave LoL an average grade of “D.”
Elsewhere….
THE CW | Burden of Truth (619K/0.1; TVLine reader grade “A-,” read post mortem) opened Season 3 steady in the demo while scoring its largest audience since the Season 2 premiere. In the Dark (535K/0.1) in turn rose in audience while steady in the demo.
ABC | Millionaire (5 mil/0.8) dipped. Holey Moley (4.4 mil/0.8) and To Tell the Truth (3.8 mil/0.7) returned up from their previous averages, with the former drawing its biggest audience since its debut.
CBS | Man With a Plan (5.4 mil/0.6) and Broke (4.3 mil/0.5) each dipped.
NBC | Leading out of Celebrity Escape Room (3.8 mil/0.8), the Red Nose Day special (1.9 mil/0.4) was on par with last year.
The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our daily-ish ratings column do not reflect a show’s overall performance, given the increases in delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms. These Live+Same Day numbers instead are used to illustrate any trends or high/low superlatives. Happy Fun Ball may stick to certain types of skin.

Was I going crazy or did To Tell The Truth state at the beginning of the show that the judges were Joel McHale and Gillian Jacobs, even my info on my guide stating them as judges. Why the switch?
My broadcast had Joel and Gillian.
That’s weird, here in Canada we had Patti LaBelle and Mark Duplass. But the info did say McHale and Jacobs. I was looking forward to the lil Community reunion
Apparently Holey Moley has weird ideas for what they consider entertainment. Setting people on fire and electrical shocks for missing putts? That’s a very different interpretation of “Summer Fun and Games.”
Come on CBS keep Mam With A Plan. Good nbers
Broad demos. It will be tough to get better ratings out of the box. Focus story lines more on children like 5 20 episode tic up on demos
How Labor of Love ever got green lighted in the first place is beyond me. I’m happy to see it bombing, it let’s me hang on to my last shred of hope for humanity a while longer.
My first comment when a friend of mine tweeted about Labor of Love was “Eew🤢🤮. That was the nicest thing I could say. Whoever thought that this type of show would actually have people wanting to watch needs to be fired. There are a lot of things I’m still ticked at FOX about but that’s a story for another day.
The best thing they could do is cancel this now and then let Hulu or FOXNow play the remaining episodes for the degenerates that wanted to watch this shyteshow in the first place. I don’t know what they would put in it’s place or how many episodes were greenlighted to begin with but pretty much anything at this point would be better. FOX/Disney has a vast value to choose from.
this ^
I wouldn’t be surprised if this gets yanked after this one episode. It doesn’t even deserve to be sent to Hulu (which FOX doesn’t have any ownership of now anyway). Such a vile premise for a reality show.
I don’t know how many of you watched the show but it is basically just The Bachelorette with an older lead and a stupid title. It isn’t a bad show but they really shot themselves in the foot with the promos and misleading title.
