Warning: The following X-Files story is a total puff piece.
William B. Davis’ iconic Cigarette Smoking Man takes center stage in Fox’s latest X-Files revival poster, and we’re bringing you an exclusive first look at the shadowy one-sheet.
Despite the fact that CSM was seemingly extinguished in The X-Files‘ 2002 series finale, series creator Chris Carter is resurrecting the legendary Big Bad for the upcoming six-episode continuation — and the poster below suggests his presence will be pivotal.
In other X-Files promo news, a new commercial featuring fresh revival footage — and maybe a glimpse at CSM? — will air tonight during Gotham (8/7c).
Poor guy. His biggest enemy was not Mulder, but society rejecting smokers and forcing them to go into dark alleys to feed their addiction away from everyone else.
.
If there’s anybody that could cheat/survive death on this show, it’s most definitely CSM.
Oh, no, I hope they don’t give up a glimpse of CSM until the episode airs. Keep him in the shadows where he belongs until then.
I’m actually kinda bummed that they are giving up that he’s back. That was the best part of the first episode.
YESS I love this!
TXF is going hard at trying to get me to watch Gotham, but I’m too behind. I’m sure it’ll be on TVLine or YouTube almost directly afterward.
CSM died of lung cancer
A missile got Him, actually ;)
I always thought one of the only ways for fans know he was dead was to blow him up with a missle…not much room around it.
