Sure, Supergirl can fly — but her real superpower is the perfect hair and makeup she maintains while doing so.
In the official poster for CBS’ fall drama, Melissa Benoist’s titular character is seen in full costume, living up to the series’ tagline: “A new hero will rise.”
During the show’s recent Comic-Con panel, executive producer Ali Adler said Supergirl’s story is one “that needed to be told. You come in and see her as female and you’ll remember her as powerful. Her gender doesn’t really matter. She’s a badass.”
Supergirl takes off on Monday, Oct. 26, at 8:30/7:30c. Scroll down to see the full poster, then drop a comment with your thoughts below.
TVLine, PLEASE get rid of the advertisements over top of your photos/videos. That is so ridiculous to have an article about a poster that includes an ad that completely covers the point of your piece. Be classier.
Second, does Supergirl have stretch capabilities? Or just the ability to force perspective? Melissa Benoist is an attractive woman, but you wouldn’t know it from every photo CBS chooses to release of her.
Ad-block plus will take care of the ads. CBS is still learning that photoshopping pretty people to look plastic is not necessary
Totally dig the Supergirl poster. Wonder if LA is going to have a huge billboard not to mention the one at Times Square in NYC.
The pilot episode was awful.
Then why did you watch it in fact why are you even here moaning about it?
i know it’s an iconic look
but i really don’t see why they needed to put her in a skirt
i mean they didn’t give her the cutoff top so why the skirt?
Because the show is trying to stay loyal to the comics and that has been Supergirl’s look for over 50 years.
How did she get her ears pierced?????
kryptonite needle or maybe her cousin used his heat vision to do it.
She could have gotten her ears pierced before she left Krypton.
It looks like she’s missing a leg…LMAO.
I don’t know. I LOVED Smallville, but everything I’ve seen about this series just feels off. I’ll still watch the pilot, though.
This looks horrible!! It looks like she doesn’t have any legs and her fist is almost the size of her head!! Terrible poster. Plus the pilot was crap. They should have called it ‘Supergirly’.
What a pleasant troll you are. Doubt you could make anything better and besides CBS would have seen it first before it went out and if they didn’t like it they wouldn’t have used it. The poster is trying to show strength and grace.
poster for show looks good.
She looks like a really basic/generic white girl. yawn.
let me guess you’re a racist minority
