Lucifer Sneak Peek: ‘Trixie’s Moms’ Dress Down a Buncha Perfect Parents

Trixie’s moms have got it goin’ on — and they’ve got opinions, too, we learn in this exclusive sneak peek from Fox’s Lucifer (airing Monday at 9/8c).

In the episode “Deceptive Little Parasite” — as in Lucifer’s complimentary description of Trixie! — Chloe and the team investigate when a therapist and head of admissions at a prestigious private school turns up dead. In the clip above, Maze goes all in as she poses as Chloe’s better (and bolder) half. Press play to see them size up the perfect mom to an “exceptional” child.

“This episode takes place in the world of L.A. schools, which is something that a lot of us writers have experienced,” showrunner Joe Henderson told TVLine as part of our May Sweeps/Finale Preview. “It’s a world where we had to actually pull back the reality because it felt a little too cartoonish. Everything in this episode is not only real, but the truth is even probably more absurd.”

All told, Henderson said, “It’s a nice episode to look at both Lucifer’s relationship with Trixie, and Chloe’s relationship with Maze — they’ve been roommates all this time — while also dealing with the emotional repercussions of both the winter finale and [last week’s] spring premiere.”

Elsewhere in the episode: When it is discovered that the Flaming Sword is the only hope for the family returning home safely, the pressure is on for Lucifer to control what he has never been able to control before – his emotions – in order to ignite it.
