Linda From HR is down but she’s not out.
Despite failing to land a spot on Fox’s 2017-18 schedule, the Lauren Graham-fronted comedy pilot still has a pulse. “It is definitely still in consideration,” Fox Chairman and CEO Gary Newman told reporters early Monday.
The half-hour, single-camera sitcom centers on Graham’s Linda Plugh, an HR employee whose one bad decision throws her monotonous, unfulfilled existence into an exciting but dangerous tailspin of balancing her work life, her home life and a secret that could unravel everything. The cast also includes Happy Endings‘ Zachary Knighton and Lois & Clark‘s Michael Landes.
Up-and-coming writers Itai Grunfeld and Geoff Barbanell penned the Linda From HR pilot script and will serve as exec producers alongside Tracy Katsky, Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor. Sitcom vet Marc Buckland (My Name is Earl, Scrubs) will direct.
I really hope we get to see it
Lauren Graham deserves to be back on TV. Get it together Fox.
How about Thin Ice? Completely dead?
Please give this show a chance! The cast us amazing!!!!!
I really hope this gets the go-ahead. It sounds wonderful, and I love the cast.
I bet it gets a chance. This being FOX and all the will need a comedy sooner or later
I’d love to see her in another show but Linda from HR sounds like a subpar premise.
I’m still waiting for Nasim Pedrad’s “Chad: An American Boy,” which also “wasn’t dead” for months before it was never heard of again.
Love Lauren!
Good to hear. Really hope this sees the light of day. Any word on the fate of the Casey Wilson, Busy Philipps’ The Sackett Sisters? I was really pulling for that one.
