iZombie, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Snag Additional Episode Orders at The CW

The CW has ordered additional episodes of Nielsen weaklings Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and iZombie, TVLine has learned.
Well-reviewed rookie comedy Crazy Ex, which attracted less than 1 million viewers last Monday, has received an order for five more episodes, bringing its Season 1 total to 18.
Meanwhile, iZombie — which last week lost 65 percent of its Flash lead-in — nabbed an order for six additional episodes (for a Season 2 total of 19).

I agree. It is one of my favorites. I’m glad I stuck with it. I almost tuned out after the first few episodes, but it got a whole lot better as the season progressed.
I hope these shows are somehow renewed. They’re both really terrific.

I just assumed iZombie was going to get 22 episodes so I’m disappointed. Doesn’t seem like the CW has much optimism for the show.
The CW Dosent have enough schedule space for practically every show to get 22 (Fladh,Arrow,SPN,VD,TO,JtV) the showrunner prefers shorter seasons
I completely agree about the lack of space on the schedule, if the CW did not believe in iZombie they would have kept it at 13. Rob Thomas has changed his mind on preferring shorter seasons for iZombie though (he talks about breaking 22 episodes for season 2 in an interview with a rival website to this one).
Every show runner would prefer shorter seasons. That has nothing to do with the CW not giving them a full 22 episodes like I’m sure they will be giving Arrow/Flash/TVD/The Originals/Supernstural. They don’t say “well, Rob Thomas only wants to do 13 so that’s all we’ll give them”.
Yes, I was hoping for a full season order too. It’s a step in the right direction…
Perhaps it will be possible for Tinkerbell and Dr Whale to visit Once Upon A Time before the end of the current season.

Hope Crazy Ex-Girlfriend gets one season tops. No word on when DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will premiere especially for an air date.
Thurs Jan 21 was revealed to be the premire date by WB president at Paley Fest a few days ago

Excellent news across the board!! iZombie is excellent, I really wish more people were watching it. I can see Crazy ExGirlfriend not being for most people, but it so quirky and different. It is ridiculous in a good way and I can’t stop watching.
Not suprised about IZombie but shivked& confused at CEG cause it’s ratings are terrible & CWs schedule is full.That said I enjoy both sorta

I’m glad they’re standing behind Crazy Ex Girlfriend. Or maybe she’s threatening them. It’s such a strange show. I hope people catch on that it’s something special.
They should have given a full 22 episode season to izombie :/.. don’t care for CEG but I’m surprised that it got additional episodes because the show is not a hit at all and the CW has Legends of Tomorrow, Contigent and the 100 waiting, anyway I’m happy for the people who watch the CEG.
