Question: Anything on Grey’s Anatomy Season 15? — Mary
Ausiello: Remember how mopey DeLuca was at the end of Season 14? OK, now forget that. “He does bounce back,” showrunner Krista Vernoff recently told TVLine. “Meredith’s [season-finale] pep talk helped, and in the premiere, there’s a situation where his brain sort of gets flooded with adrenaline, and that jerks him out of the last of that depression. So he comes into Season 15 with a new energy that’s sexy and funny.” And, if you’ve seen the first Season 15 trailer — which finds him hitting the sheets with Grey! — you can probably guess just how irresistible that sexy, funny energy is. (Speaking of Mer/DeLuca’s sex romp, I have it on good authority that he is not The One that showrunner Krista Vernoff referred to here.)
Question: Is Maggie going to get revenge on Rick on The Walking Dead? Negan had to die! — Cane
Ausiello: When TVLine recently posed more or less the same question to Scott Gimple, chief content officer for all things Dead, he replied that, when Season 9 of the AMC drama kicks off on Sunday, Oct. 7, Glenn’s widow won’t have decided to forgive or forget. “She said [in the Season 8 finale] that she was going to just wait for the moment to make it right. That’s still in her. It isn’t necessarily the driving force when we meet her, but it’s still in her.” In fact, in some ways, Maggie’s hunger for retribution might be even greater than it was before the series’ 18-month time jump. In that time, “she’s become a mother,” Gimple noted, “so from an emotional standpoint, as far as any sort of reset or even exacerbation of what she was feeling, that baby is a big part of it.”
Question: So how exactly does House of Cards kill off Kevin Spacey’s Frank? —Christine
Ausiello: I hear the show is going to take its sweet time answering that provocative question.
Question: On Power, I just don’t trust LaKeisha to stand by Tommy. Will she? —Kelly
Ausiello: We had similar concerns, so we brought them right to showrunner Courtney Kemp. “Well, he did tell her right before he left the apartment that he was off to do something to Ghost. Hmm. I wonder how that’s going to turn out,” she says, laughing as she adds that next season, “The Tommy-LaKeisha relationship is going to get very interesting.”
Question: Where is The Flash‘s Nora going to live? –Aureola
Ausiello: “She kind of hops around. It’s fun,” showrunner Todd Helbing answers. “There are reasons why she stays where she stays that we sort of explore.”
Question: When I first heard about the Young Sheldon spinoff, I thought it was a terrible idea. Still, I gave it a chance and it slowly but surely won me over. Now, I can’t wait for Season 2. Any scoop on what to expect when it returns? —Karen
Ausiello: Showrunner Steven Molaro is getting ready to plant another Big Bang Easter egg. “We learned on The Big Bang Theory at the end of last season that [Jerry O’Connell’s] Georgie [is] a tire expert and has a chain of shops,” the EP explains. “So we’re circling around [the idea] of [Montana Jordan]’s Georgie [on Young Sheldon] getting a part-time job at an auto shop and discovering his affinity for tires.”
Question: More Riverdale scoop, please! — Keri
Ausiello: Veronica Lodge, gambling mogul? Before the writers settled on Veronica opening a speakeasy in the basement of Pop’s, “originally it was going to be a casino,” showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa reveals. “Then we realized that, legally, no 16-year-old can run a casino.” (Well, yeah.) So they settled on a speakeasy-slash-music venue that will open the door for more Josie-centric stories in Season 3: “It’s a cabaret performance space, which allows us to feature Josie and tell the noir elements of a showbiz story.”
Question: Can NCIS fans hope to hear more of Gibbs’ rules? In these last few seasons, they seem to have faded away. —Jenny
Ausiello: “That’s always a possibility,” said EP Steven Binder, when Matt Mitovich hand-delivered your question. “We have two new writers on staff and usually our new writers are the ones who like to create a new rule, so I wouldn’t be surprised.” As he explained, “The rules create themselves, to fit a need in the story.”
Question: Any additional details about ABC’s Sue Heck-centered Middle spinoff? —Martha
Ausiello: Rumor has it that Eden Sher’s titular character will be spending a lot of time in a high-end Windy City hotel.
Question: Anything on Supernatural? —April
Ausiello: Kim Rhodes’ Jody Mills will return in the wake of “a mysterious death, when it turns out that she and Sam and Dean are looking for the same person,” co-showrunner Andrew Dabb previews. “That involves her in a case that has pretty big repercussions, Wayward-wise, going forward.” As for the rest of the Wayward Sisters ensemble, “We’re also going to see Donna later this season,” Dabb says. “And our hope is, toward the back half of the season, to see everyone together in a plotline that we think dovetails very nicely with our Supernatural storyline for the season. We’re not, like, taking a detour into Wayward world. [We’re] taking some of those characters who we love so much, and some of the ideas, and folding them into Sam and Dean’s story.”
This AAnd That…
♦ THE SINNER: Similar to Season 1’s penultimate episode, Season 2’s second-to-last outing (airing Wednesday) answers pretty much everything. And just when you think things are beginning to wind down, another huge twist drops.
♦ SUPERSTORE: Mateo’s on-again/off-again boyfriend Jeff, who was recently hired by corporate, will find a “very creative way” to work around Cloud 9’s widely accepted age discrimination policy and “bring Myrtle back into the store,” series creator Justin Spitzer tells TVLine.
♦ THE CONNERS: Sitcom director extraordinaire Andy Ackerman (Seinfeld, Cheers, The New Adventures of Old Christine) will helm the Roseanne spinoff’s series premiere.
♦ DYNASTY: Steven and Sammy Jo’s marriage could face its first obstacle in the form of Manuel, a sexy tattoo artist who enters the scene after recently breaking up with his boyfriend. Despite having a hidden dark side, Manuel cares very much about babies. (Say, isn’t one of the Carringtons in need of a nanny?)

I’m thinking that Met/DeLuca thing is a dream/fantasy one of them has.
Mer/DeLuca
Because we couldn’t have figured it out without your correction!
Based on them showing it in the promo I can see it being a fantasy, but I hope it’s a dream/fantasy that turns into a short term reality. A Meredith-Andrew coupling would serve two purposes – awaken Meredith’s sexual side which she has satisfied on occasion (Army doc, Nathan) but hasn’t really unleashed since Derek died, and two establish Andrew as the hot doctor every woman wants (the intern Dalha is already crushing).
Let Andrew start to establish himself as Neuro God in S15 while hooking up with all the ladies. Then in S16 or S17 they can bring in a new intern class with Amber Karev as the main intern for Andrew to get entangled with in an on-off relationship. Given the Alex-Andrew history already established and the fact he’s slept with Meredith and many others at the hospital it’ll add some tension and conflict for the pairing.
Wasnt Dahla crushing on Jackson? Don’t remember anything with DeLuca.
—
Also agree its a fantasy. Hoping from Mer. I don’t need DeLuca to be into Mer one way (like with Jo), but I also don’t want Mer to go out wither sister’s ex and have a repeat od sort to the Nathan-Mer-Maggie triangle
Dahla was disappointed in the season finale to find out Jackson and Maggie were a couple (it was at the church when they were at the wrong wedding) and later at the before wedding reception she noticed how cute Andrew was and transferred her crush over.
Their wouldn’t be a triangle with Mer/Maggie this time because Maggie is with Jackson. I can see a scene where she finds out Meredith and Andrew are hooking up but I think Maggie won’t care much – she’ll have the Amelia-Owen-Teddy stuff to deal with which will be more important to her.
Definitely can’t be reality…it is just…no…can’t even think about it. Almost afraid to watch and I find out I am wrong. Even a dream is just not something I ever need to see.
This is literally the first time that I had no interest in the spoilers you just shared with us.. damn…. Can’t wait for seasons to start again.. and to be honest the middle was awesome.. I don’t want a spin off.. even though I’m guessing it won’t go into series production.. I still don’t want it..The middle was incredible.. way better than modern family dragging it out now..
Regarding The Walking Dead, i’m sure Maggie will get revenge on Negan but now that she has a child to take care of and protect maybe he revenge on Negan isn’t what we think it’ll be.For example maybe she won’t kill Negan but make him lose something or someone he loves.
As for Grey’s Anatomy, Meredith and DeLuca’s relationship might just be a sexual one where they both need to release something inside themselves.
Season two of The Sinner isn’t nearly as good as season one IMO. I’m just not feeling it.
Why aren’t we getting any spoilers about Michael!Dean (granted, it sounds like Dean’s back by episode 2 but still…..) I could care less about Wayward or Mary’s romance or all the AU people. What will TFW be up to this season?
More Wayward? Seriously?
then maybe it’s time for u to start watching something else.
I can’t believe The Sinner’s already almost over. It feels like it never really started. This has been a really dull, boring season. It’s such a shame because there’s been some great ideas and Carrie Coon is always wonderful but it just doesn’t have that compelling wow factor like season 1. I honestly don’t care about this season’s mystery or characters at all.
Glad I’m not the only one. It’s just kinda there, if that makes sense. There is nothing interesting in this back story of this cult at all. It’s like okay she got pregnant and had a baby, omg shocking, lol. Maybe we’ll get some “wow” moments in these last two eps but this season will be easily forgotten.
I’m the opposite I thought season 1 was so boring. I could of cared less why she stabbed the woman in the first episode. I just wanted the season to end.
I’m really liking season 2. Everybody seems to be hiding something. Looking forward to some answers.
I’m in complete agreement with you. Also Elisha Henig, the little boy is an excellent actor. Usually I find child actors annoying, but not this one, he did a superb job on a memorable episode of “Mr. Robot” last season. He has a very promising career, for sure.
I can’t wait for Grandpa Joe – Nora interaction!
Riverdale… yes, a casino was a ridiculous idea for 16 year old to own. A speakeasy is so much more appropriate. Wait, what?
This made my eyes roll when Veronica revealed her plans to open a speakeasy with good “spirits”. The actress may be legal age, but Veronica isn’t. But, I doubt her parent or the local law will notice.
Hmmm… does this imply Sue Heck will be working in the hospitality field?
It appears to be so. Sue’s major was Hospitality and Hotel Management, with a minor in Drama. If Brad moves with her and they live and work together, yikes! I love that friendship.
Aside from a vocal corner of SPN fandom, who really wants more Wayward…? Wayward Sisters was born in fandom and it has not really advanced past that.
Supernatural, as a whole, is just becoming a messy ensemble. I didn’t sign up for that and it’s not how the show was designed to work.
Sure, we need need strong characters outside Sam & Dean but we already have that in characters like Cas. We don’t need the whole Wayward gang simply because your spinoff failed, Andrew.
I feel like Andrew Dabb is trying to make a square peg (Wayward) fit into a round hole (Supernatural) and no matter how much it doesn’t work, he’ll keep forcing it.
I’ve been saying it for the past fews seasons, more & more Sam & Dean are feeling like supporting characters in their own show. The writers truly seem bored with writing Sam & Dean and if that’s the case, leave the show. It’s like they are not even trying anymore with the characterizations of the Winchesters.
Agreed 100%
Everything you said, @maermae.
Exactly, maermae. Nobody cares about those Wayward people. I do like Donna and Jodie but only them. I never even saw those episodes.
They should replace writers every two or three years for sure.
The producers are desperate for a spinoff of SPN. They’ve got a cash cow currently, and they want that cow to have a calf, which they can nurture into another cash cow. SPN might not end anytime soon, but it might end after this season. They don’t know. And the producers/show runners want to expand this universe while they can. And they’ve got two characters in Jody and Donna that fans like. Some fans love them, but the majority of fans are at least willing to like and watch them in a spinoff. The planted spinoff didn’t work (too much focus on the younger ladies, whom no fans care about but whom the CW will demand to focus upon), but they are going to keep exploring until they hopefully get it correct.
.
then maybe u should sit down & watch supernatural from the beginning.
From what I’ve read, the perception of Dean and Sam being “supporting cast” is to accommodate the schedules of the actors who portray Dean and Sam, With both being married and fathers, they want to spend time with their family. Which means less airtime. The other option is for them to call it quits for family reasons. And I’m sure we all agree that getting less airtime is better than no airtime … ie a cancelled show.
everyone is entitled to how they feel but supernatural will always b supernatural. it is so well known & loved by those who have truly been a devoted fan. I’m watching reruns right now on TNT. sorry but this show is huge & will always b. remember star trek. well this is just like that. oh yeah its just a show. plenty others to watch if u just don’t get it.
Honestly do not agree with this analysis. Sam and Dean had bone through major changes, and are not written like angsty competitive brothers, who betray each other and some of their principles on every turn. Just continuing with secrets and fights about secrets, and “breaking up” over secrets and what they do to each other does not really fit two 40 and almost 40 year-olds. It was time they began trusting each other, relying on each other. So no more brother drama. I am truly enjoying their relationship now, because I feel it had been motivated well throughout the first 11 seasons, since I consider seasons 11 and 12 as an arc of peace/family/brothers-building between them.
It seems to me that is why they started to feel like supporting characters (besides less screen time).
I obviously meant seasons 12 and 13, not 11 and 12 :)
@hannishots, I don’t think anyone’s debating that the brothers’ relationship is in a better place (as it should be, all that manufactured conflict between them was becoming wearisome.) But there are plenty of other storylines that could directly involve the brothers, even with less screen time.
The original Dean-Michael arc evolved over 2 years. It could have at least developed over a few episodes last season, to make Dean’s “yes” feel more organic and to give more depth to the start of the season. I also have no idea where the writers are going with Dean’s mental state. Did he offer himself to Michael because he was suicidal? Saw himself as expendable? Couldn’t face losing anyone again? Or was it just going with the only option he felt he had, the same as anyone would have done. I honestly couldn’t tell you because there was no through line – the writing ping ponged between all those emotional states over the season and I’m not sure which one Dean ended up with.
Other storylines that could have been explored- Sam’s wanted a normal life for so long. Why kill off Eileen? They had great chemistry and it would have been interesting to see Sam navigate his own wants vs his family obligations. The British MoL could have been a brothers’ story instead of Mary’s. Training young hunters could have been a brothers’ story, instead of Jody’s. Re-establishing the American MoL, setting up a hunters’ network, resurrecting some old nemesis, even just directly tying the brothers to the main threat from the get go instead of waiting until the season finale…..there are lots of ways to make the brothers the focus of the season even if there are side stories going on. (I think Cas has likewise been pushed to the background but that’s a topic for another post.)
Maybe the Michael threat will do that. But we’re hearing so little about it that I’m concerned we’re in for another season of Jack/Mary/Wayward/AU Bobby/AU Charlie/Maggie/Rowena/oh, yeah, and those other 3 guys.
Yes, in many things I do agree with you, and I assumed wrong about the reasoning behind your first post. Apologies. I would like to make a further point too then: that lacking the emotional drama between the brothers, the producers/writers have displaced or disregarded the ability to make strong long arcs where Sam and Dean are the focus, the center of the plot itself, not just of the show (which by all measures they still are). The example you have given is Mary and the British MoL – would have been a much different story if it were one of the boys, since it would inevitably lead to some kind of conflict between them, and that would possibly feel recycled as well… So yes, I would have loved it, but it would have to be a different storyline. I agree that the writers did not use the situation to develop the boys reaction to their mum lying to them in the same way they explored their behavior when they were lying to each other. It is definitely a missed opportunity.
I feel like the issue of on the one hand certain renewal of the network coupled with an obvious reluctance to continue in the same fashion of 22-23 episodes on the part of actors is maybe paralyzing the writers about making long term strong arcs. My solution, based on some of your very valid points, would be to make plans for at least two seasons ahead, 20+20 episodes in my totally unprofessional opinion, seems enough to put the brothers in the center of major arcs *plots* as well, not just as devices for plot solutions. Like they did with the Jack story, and them being surrogate fathers with Cas, I feel it carried a lot of emotional weight of the season, but it also put the focus on what would Jack decide, which father(s) will HE choose.
I do hope that Michael/Dean story-line will bring back that emotional focus back on the brothers, without resorting to their (Sam and Dean’s) old patterns.
Oh, the reasoning behind the OP’s post. Mistake again. Should not be writing at 5am :)
Yup. Wayward panders to a select group of fans. They happen to be vocal but that doesn’t mean they speak for everyone. Personally, I don’t watch the show to see a band of teenage girls play super hunter. Whenever they’re around, Cas is MIA and the brothers are written like idiots. Supporting characters should raise up a story, not drag down the main characters. I’ll be fast forwarding those episodes for sure.
And who decides you’re the majority–you? The WS episodes do well in the ratings, so it seems that not a whole lot of people who actually watch the show live agree with you about that storyline.
Will Josie and the Pussycats ever reunite?
I hope not :-)
These were pretty thin. Guess not much out there this week, eh?
I hadn’t really thought about where Nora would live! I wonder what he means.
I want Chris Carmack to be named Dr. luke Ward. Since Summer’s dad was written off by going to work at Seattle Grace with Bailey I feel like it would be a fun. Luke took his anger issues and channeled them into Ortho. Haha
I actually would not mind Meredith and DeLuca together.
Myrtle is gonna be back??? Can’t wait!
No, please no. Meredith no. I think and hope it’s DL having a day dream. Don’t forget he was Magie’s ex boy friend so eeww.
I think the aim is to raise DL profile to compete with the reoccurring new male surgeons.
P.S Kepner and her new hubbby got together in 11 weeks. I feel sorry for his first wife.
I love how the powers that be at Riverdale decided not to have Veronica run a casino, because it would be unrealistic. Since when do they care about realism?!?!
I miss the Wayward girls! Hoping to see them in S14 a lot!
I really do hope supernatural continues. I mean it’s not like u can kill Sam or Dean or Cas cuz they’ll just b brought back. But I would love to get more info in the form of newsletter or something. I wish they truely had a Supernatural magazine. I no every sentence to every episode. I’m watching reruns right now on TNT. I can’t wait for new season. please direct me on where to get merchandise. I tried but says site is down. thank u.
