How much money are they spending on LMS? I would think they would want to give it a non death slot. Also, if Tim Allen was so eager to return to TV, why not just book a new sitcom? Have all the characters signed on?
For Last Man, Friday night is not a death slot. The show did very well there in the past. Allen didn’t want to do a different sitcom. He felt ABC canceled the show because of his politics, and he wanted this show back.
Well, canceling for politics was a crock, cause now they have Roseanne!
HA!
That slot is the slot LMS was in before and proved itself there. While it would have been interesting to see it on another night FOX knows it will at least pull in close to what it did before there and since they own it ( for now) whatever ratings it gets doesnt really matter
Fair enough. I just thought if you make a decision that big, you put it on a different night and see if it pulls bigger ratings.
It’s to bad as every time they have a really good show it is either preemted or they cancel it
doesnt matter what fox has on. will not watch any programs until they bring back lucifer. they made a big mistake getting rid of it. fans not happy with fox
I agree! Bring back Lucifer! Bad move, Fox!
I agree!!
Lucifer is sorry show nobody need to watch. Burn in hell. Like. He wants you to
And they do not care if you watch it or not. They will never know. I promise you that.
Unless of course your a Neilson family which you’d know this if you where.
I agree. Bring back Lucifer!!!
Exactly! Don’t care foto Fox anymore.
I agree.
I love lucifier, I can’t believe you cancelled it ! Bring Lucifier and Clyoie together, let’s get to work detective.
omg I LOVE Lucifer! they have to keep it so we can see the detective and him be together.! sooooooooo sadddd
They hav made so many mistakes with what they hav cancelled so hav CBS!
Did they give an episode count for Gotham’s last season?
Not yet, but being held off as a mid-season replacement indicates that it will be a shortened season.
“TBD.”
I’ll have to wait for the CW schedule, but if they hold true to this year it will be Flash vs The Gifted. Not happy about that. Love both shows.
I keep forgetting Fox is only an 8:00-10:00 network. They could save a lot of decent shows (Lucifer, B99, Last Man On Earth, The Mick) by going to full primetime.
Fox stations like having their 10:00 local news, something many of them were doing long before Fox became a network.
That, and the amount of sports FOX will air in the fall made for a pretty tight schedule. FOX has not scheduled a single new drama for fall. I fully expected “Proven Innocent” to be there, or “The Passage”. But both are being held for midseason. I think that goes to show how much FOX had to tweak this year to make it work. But I get that this is no comfort at all for the fans of “Lucifer”.
Gotham being held until the midseason is a bummer. But I guess I can’t complain since it’s better than no renewal at all.
They realize no one is going to watch Lethal Weapon anymore, right? Frees me up for live watching This is Us, though.
I wouldn’t say no one. I’m still going to watch. The fact remains that no matter messy that whole thing was, there are still a lot of people that will be out of a job because of one actor’s actions. That doesn’t seem right to me. So I’ll still be tuning in for awhile to see how it goes. It’s not going to be the same and that’s a shame but I don’t think damning a show because of one actor is right either.
I agree . I’ll give it chance but my take is without Crawford as Riggs show will not last. Too bad great show . Crawford must have been a real XXXXX to screw that up.
I may be wrong, but the impression that I got was that Wayans played diva after he and Crawford had an argument, and the production company bowed. Not to say that Crawford was faultless, but I heard other cast members were being supportive to Crawford.
LW is the best show on Fox!~!
Nope!! Won’t be watching either…don’t care who else is on the show. Wayans ruined it…PERIOD!!
My only solace here is knowing that the people who came up with this schedule will be on the unemployment line this time next year.
LOL
I’m not bitter or anything!
So happy for Bobs Burgers! It’s so funny and has gotten better with age. It deserves its new timeslot.
Wow, I literally have no desire to see any of these shows. Guess my time will be spent on other networks.
Haha right? I literally have nothing to watch on Fox anymore – they straight got rid of every show of theirs I cared about. Oh well – onto other networks.
Please don’t cancel Gotham!
It was renewed for a 5th/Final season.
But not until mid-season, and even then apparently only 13 episodes.
Only will be watching Fox on Monday nights. Not watching Lethal Weapon anymore since they got rid of Clayne. Scott is nowhere near the same league as Clayne.
If Clayne wasn’t such a jerk, he would still have a job. You can’t blame Fox for that. Besides, no one has any idea how Scott will be in the role. You’re probably basing your prejudice on the roles he has played, not who he is as an actor.
He’ll always be Stiffler….lol
What about Mr Inbetween?
The song says don’t mess with him.
That’s on FX.
That is FX.
This probably the best schedule Fox has come up with in years!!! Everything makes sense. The series that they kept actually have decent ratings instead of the lack luster comedies that only bring in 2 million viewers per week. With Football as a launching pad to promote these series, Fox put itself back in the game when it comes to regular programming.
So let me get this straight! Fox renews a reboot of a reboot(Lethal Weapon) that probably won’t work! (See Kevin Can’t Wait); Instead of renewing an imaginative, proven series like Lucifer?! Let’s get Fox to reverse TWO bad decisions!
I totally agree. Lucifer is one of my favorite shows on tv at the moment and I’m really bummed that it was canceled while having relatively steady ratings and another show, which will probably see a big (if not HUGE) drop in ratings, was picked up.
In general at the moment there are like four shows on fox I watch (new girl, Lucifer, B99 and the resident) and only one of them will be on Fox next year. very disappointing.
I can accept Gotham being held til midseason, it’s better than nothing. It gives more time to plan out a proper conclusion. Also, I was worried about Cameron’s availability because his priority is Shameless and they seem to film for 3-4 months, so midseason will work better. There had better be a kickass showdown between Bruce and Jeremiah in this final season!
My thoughts, exactly. Mid-season means more Cameron Monaghan.
So… I have no show left on fox as they decided to cancel Lucifer. Nice job fox. See you never.
I loved watching Lethal Weapon each week. The management isn’t thinking straight to kick the main character off the show. With all the crazy stuff going on in Hollywood what’s one more crazy guy speaking out?
Love their Monday night, that is a great combo. Tuesday, still atrocious. Both shows are going to get clobbered. Wed good as always, Football will do fine( and do much better than what they have had there and Friday will be interesting.LMS getting their old time on a new network will probably pull what they did before or slightly less but i fully expect CBS to beat them in that hour. Holding Gotham for mid season is a very FOX thing to do with the shows that are their durables ( Bones in its last seasons) All in all not bad
Lethal Weapon vs This is US (plus Lethal Weapon without Clayne Crawford)
FOX SO DUMB
Please renew LA to Vegas!
THIS. They are idiots. They have a gem on their hands and never did a damned thing with it/to promote it. Far funnier than most of ABC’s tired comedies. Deserves a renewal and a real shot.
Yes, thank you! That show has really gotten into my heart and I absolutely love the characters in it. Please dont put in the same timeslot oppisite blackish and this is us, put it somewhere it will really shine.
Agreed x100! This show was the bright spot of my week and I would hate to see it go. I keep holding out hope they end up renewing it.
Well, Tuesdays @ 8:00 just opened up on my dvr. Wonder what might be on another network that I can record/watch other than Lethal Weapon, which is dead to me now.
I had no idea how many childish people were watching Lethal Weapon.
I don’t think that they’re trying to be childish, it’s simply LW is Martin & Riggs. Without Riggs character it’s not really LW anymore. Even if Scott plays his never before mentioned brother so that there is still a Riggs. Clayne made the TV version of Riggs his own. And not sure I, or many others, believe Clayne acted badly towards crew or cast. Too many crew spoke up against the charges CBS stated. Plus those who’ve worked with him previously also stated too much disbelief. Makes me wonder more if someone ( fellow castmate &one of the executive producers of LW) might of just been a bit jealous of Clayne’s popularity. Just saying……
Where did crew members offer this support? All I’ve seen is that the cast and crew were uncomfortable working with him after his bad behavior.
I hope 9-1-1 will do well on Monday nIghts.
I hope The Gifted will do well on Tuesday nights going against The Flash. It will be interesting to see if comedy shows will do well on Friday nights for Fox. I guess their Sunday lineup will be all animated comedy block for now.
I guess Gotham will air their final season in January or February.
I can’t wait to watch new seasons of The Gifted and 9-1-1 this fall.
Forgot all about GHOSTED haven’t seen it in a while. Did i miss the finale?
There’s 6 episodes that have yet to be aired.
thanks
