Armie Hammer‘s secrets are about to come to light: The three-part documentary series House of Hammer will premiere on Discovery+ on Friday, Sept. 2, TVLine has learned.
Discovery+ has also released a trailer for the docuseries — warning: it contains sexually explicit and disturbing content — with Armie’s ex Courtney Vucekovich and artist Julia Morrison sharing texts and DMs they say are from Hammer that describe sexual fantasies of extreme bondage, cannibalism and tying a woman up in a public place and “making her body free use.” The women say Hammer is charming at first, but then starts “pushing your boundaries a little at a time” until “you’re his, completely.”
The docuseries examines the troubling accusations surrounding the Social Network and Call Me By Your Name actor, who dropped out of numerous high-profile projects last year after sexually explicit messages allegedly from him leaked online, leading to accusations of sexual abuse and an LAPD investigation. But it also looks back at Hammer’s twisted family legacy, with multiple generations of great wealth and privilege plagued by scandal and abuse.
“Coupled with a trove of incredible archival footage, the docuseries weaves together a chilling story of the dysfunction and wickedness that grow behind decades of power and money,” according to the official description. “Featuring exclusive revelations from Armie’s aunt, Casey Hammer, and multiple survivors of Armie’s alleged abuse, the docuseries brings to light the dark secrets — ranging from accusations of violence and abuse to political manipulation and financial fraud — hidden within one of America’s most prominent families.”

Ouch!
Ouch indeed. I didn’t realize the Discovery brand has become TMZ. I guess tabloid content sells.
I think it is wrong to put a documentary out there about someone who has not even been charged with a crime or convicted of a crime, this will prejudice a jury if there are ever any trials. It is character assassination. He may be guilty, whatever happened to innocent until PROVEN guilty?
Absolutely agree. Public lynchings make me sick.
Remember their is legal guilty and then their social media guilty. The latter doesn’t require much prove but accusations are facts even if they might be false.
Exactly! I have only heard things [on him]that are based on sexual fantasies and freedoms. I guess it may be shocking for some, but to me, he seems like he is just sexually aggressive, into role playing and being dominant with his partners.
I am not sure if there was actual abuse, if so, then a charge would be forthcoming. The issue with his case is it’s a lot of speculation, gossip and accusations, but little facts to support them, not to mention any criminal charges. I really feel like innocent until proven guilty is no longer possible. People are quick to judge and condemn in the age of the internet.
Read up instead out writing an essay. He raped a couple of his mistresses. Why do you think his wife and kids got out immediately.
so you know that for a fact … based on what?
and … apparently they told police and the police did nothing ?
and he’s never even been arrested much less charged with anything ?
just a suggestion when saying: read up
just tell people WHERE to read up to get the facts you’re talking about … by a reliable reporting outlet (not just on social media, reddit etc)
90% of sexual assaults are not charged, doesn’t mean he is not guilty. Just look at Deshaun Watson. Everyone who looked at the evidence says he is guilty but DAs only charge when they feel like it.
Nothing has happened to innocent until proven guilty. If he’s charged in a court of law, he’s innocent until proven guilty. The general public can think whatever they want though. And whether he’s committed a crime or not, he’s creepy af.
Social media drove “innocent until proven guilty” to a landfill in Jersey and put 2 in the back of its head.
Actually, no. The U.S. Constitution still provides protections in a court of law for those accused of a crime. Armie can file a civil suit for defamation if he so desires. He’ll lose of course.
No, it will not will prejudice a jury. Do you know what voir dire is? Voir dire is the process used by the parties to select a fair and impartial jury. You are assuming that EVERYONE on the jury panel will have seen the series or will be familiar with Armie Hammer and his shenanigans. During voir dire, the jury panel is questioned by both parties’ lawyers to determine if they are familiar with the case, have they seen the series, have they read about it, and if so how do they feel about it, etc.
As an American you should have a basic understanding of how the court system works,
The previous commenters are correct that it could influence any potential jury. Yes, jurors are asked about potential prejudices but there are also instances where attorneys express concerns that an unbiased jury could not be gathered due to media coverage. Even if one does not see the documentary, the amount of media coverage this will potentially generate could still prejudice a jury. In local cases, that is why attorneys sometimes request a change in venue. In this case, the national media is picking up on it so even if he’s not guilty of any wrong doing, he’s guilty in the court of public opinion.
Thank you!!! Took the words right out of my mouth!
If there is substantial evidence then sure, he’s guilty but right now it’s all hearsay
Courtney looks way different than her Instagram pictures .
so we’re going to be losing HBOMAX originals for more of this Discovery scandal stuff? No thank you. I guess a positive for the Hammers (not that they seem like they deserve any) is its on Discovery+ so no one will see it.
I agree, if this happens to HBO MAX, I will no longer be watching it. As for the Hammer series, the guy is going through enough, he went thru rehab and hopefully tried to put his life back together, this is adding fuel to the fire.
Bruh, he’s r*ped and abused several women. I don’t think rehab can fix that
I’m not even a fan of his but there’s no evidence he raped anyone.
what women? they filed a crime with local police?
all several of them … and police investigated and charged him? where are you getting this information from?
THIS! What’s next? “Have you Heard about Amber?”, “Who Will You Slap?”, “Savage: A 5-Part Wander into the Wonder”??
Good ones!
Abnormality Of Erza Miller.
Wonder if the documentary will show what Armie’s doing now (being a concierge in a resort hotel).

Normally I wouldn’t be making a big deal on what he’s doing now after losing all those acting gigs, but to see him brought down because of his personal activities involving women, well…
That’s what he’s doing now? Wow, that’s delicious.
Personal activités like sex abuse and rape? If you had been paying attention, which you obviously were not, you’d know that he docuseries is not all about Armie and his “personal activities.” It’s is about his family going back several generations, and was developed by Armie’s aunt, Casey Hammer. He is a vile human being as were his father, grandfather and great-grandfather. There was an article in Vanity Fair entitled, “The Fall of Armie Hammer: A Family Saga of Sex, Money, Drugs, and Betrayal.” Read it, then make your judgment.
Watching that whole video gave me chills he’s a creep now I don’t like him anymore
HAHAHAHA all of you clutching your pearls about how wrong this is, would have no problem if it was done to a celebrity who you didn’t like their political views or if he wasn’t a good looking guy. Bunch of hypocrites!!!!
True. I think my biggest concern is in regards to his children and the impact this series will have on them on top of what is already out there.
So he sent messages saying he was a cannibal, that he wanted to bite them, and “acted mad” and yet they still all continued to see him. And I’m supposed to feel sorry for them?
He comes from money. Sure they would continue to date him. Once he stopped paying he became a monster.
Also, maybe because he didn’t do that to them? They clearly haven’t been eaten since they’re there shooting a documentary. I’ve dated guys into some weird stuff, and they’ve told me about it… but there’s been no indication those things would ever happen and they’re aware I wouldn’t consent to it, so it’s a non-issue really. People are interested in loads of things they’ll never do.
He should face consequences for actual abusive actions, not for having thoughts (would you jail someone for getting mad at their horrible boss and fantasising about launching them off the 30th floor?). That second part, wow what a mess – these women were not necessarily choosing to keep seeing him if, as they say, they were being coerced and manipulated and controlled.
You obviously don’t know anything about how abusive and controlling men groom women.
why they kinkshaming him tho?
this. seems consensual
………. if you watched the trailer, you would see that they are saying it wasn’t consensual….
It’s this aspect that bothers me a bit. A lot of the major rage and shock over this is over the parts where he simply says he’s into something (admittedly more unusual/extreme) and fantasises about something. That is absolutely NOT the same as doing those things. Me getting annoyed at a co-worker and thinking how great it might be to have them eliminated is not the same as me actually killing them. We all have things we’re into, turned on by the idea of, curious about, etc. that we would never actually do.
He should absolutely face consequence for his actual abusive actions… but talking about or being asked what he’s into, privately giving an honest answer and mentioning it further, and then being publicly crucified over it is NOT what should be the focus.

You’re a bad person.
Sad. He needs therapy and rehabilitation for his violent perversions. I loved him in Call me by your name, and the movie is ruined now. Sorry for the women he mentally abused.
I see no point to this other than to exploit and grab ratings.
Hammer has lost a lot – his reputation, his career and it had a significant impact on his family so it cannot be said that he didn’t “pay” for anything.
He’s been reportedly working to rebuild his life focusing on counseling and having a low key job out of the public eye.
He’s never been accused of anything criminal that I am aware of and never went to trial for anything. This was all played out over social media.
I also agree with the other commenter that mentioned the impact this could have on his children.
True. Britney Spears sons are going through something similar right now with their schoolmates flashing her nude photos on their phones.
Really? Didn’t hear about that.
I only watched half-way through the trailer til I stopped—and not because I was shocked by what was being talked about Armie Hammer (the rumors and allegations have been known for quite sometime) but by an over-whelming sense of sadness over remembering what the Discovery channel used to be–well-produced thoughtful documentaries & interviews ranging from serious to light-hearted approach to now producing the video equivalent of an exploitive tabloid gossip rag accompanied by overdramatic soap opera music. Just sad.
I honestly didn’t know much about Armie Hammer outside of his movie roles and the reports of these allegations when they first came out . So after seeing the trailer for this, I went ahead and did a mini deep dive into Hammer and his family. I will say this. I don’t know if the guy is abusive or an actual cannibal. I do agree maybe some measure of control should be exhibited by the media in the chance this stuff does eventually result in charges. However, I do also think where there’s smoke, there is some fire. So I’m sure there’s a kernel of truth somewhere in these stories

But just going by the stuff I read about his family, they’re history and his escapades and stuff he’s said in interviews, the guy definitely does have some issues. That’s not even acknowledging his alleged fetishes. People have their kinks and that’s fine and not a character flaw, as it’s not criminal and involves consenting adults. But some are pointing out that they’re concerned about how this will affect his children. I think, when taking into account his actions (in terms of being faithful to his wife and other stuff) during and after his marriage, we are kind of pass that point and the guy is doing a bang up job embarrassing his family all on his own
Pay attention, people! This docuseries is not just about Armie, it’s about his family, and what vile people they were. The series was developed by his aunt who said, “I started watching Succession and I had to turn it off, because it was like, ‘Oh, my God. That’s my family.’”
Before running to his defense, stop clutching your pearls and read “The Fall of Armie Hammer: A Family Saga of Sex, Money, Drugs, and Betrayal, Vanity Fair, MARCH 11, 2021. That’s the real story.
Ugh….yet another witch hunt and me without my pitchfork. Damn.
First of all it’s not on cable but advertised there! Thanks. He sucks! Want to know why we keep letting these aholes out of jail?
Armie Hammer was never in jail. He was never charged in a court of law, only in the court of public opinion
