With more than 90 series airing their very final episodes in 2021, we got really good at saying goodbye to TV this year — and we’ll get even better in 2022!
Before we officially ring in the new year, we’ve taken stock of the nearly 30 (and counting!) series that will wrap up for good in 2022, all of which are detailed in the list below.
It’s an assortment that includes long-running staples like Netflix’s Grace and Frankie and ABC’s black-ish, as well as newer fare like AMC’s Kevin Can F**k Himself and Hulu’s Wu-Tang: An American Saga. Broadcast (This Is Us), cable (Animal Kingdom) and streaming (Dead to Me) are all well-represented in the graduating class, as are a pair of syndicated daytime series and at least one beloved children’s program.
And the year will get off to a busy start: January alone brings the series finales of Prime Video’s The Expanse, HBO Max’s Search Party and Netflix’s After Life, to name a few.
Not every departing series has a premiere and/or finale date just yet, but we’ll be updating this list with new intel throughout the year, so be sure to bookmark it for the most up-to-date information. In the meantime, scroll through the photos below for a reminder of what’s ending in 2022, then drop a comment with the series you’ll miss most!
