2021-22 TV Preview: Every New Comedy, Drama and Unscripted Show

Fall TV new Shows

As one TV season nears its end, another is already in the works, with a slew of new shows getting the green light for this fall — and beyond.

With Upfronts presentations just around the corner the week of May 17, the broadcast networks — ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and The CW — have already begun announcing their series pickups for the 2021-22 TV season, revealing which new comedies, dramas and unscripted programs will be hitting our screens. Of course, there are plenty of reboots, revivals and spinoffs like The CW’s 4400, CBS’ CSI: Vegas and NBC’s Law & Order: For the Defense. But viewers can also expect high-concept shows such as Fox’s The Big Leap and NBC’s La Brea and Ordinary Joe, as well as TV faves like Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings), Scott Foley (Scandal) and James Wolk (Watchmen, Zoo) in new starring roles.

To help you sift through the many new offerings, TVLine presents our annual guide to the upcoming freshman shows, with additional series orders, castings and trailers to be added as they’re released. And trust us, there will be lots more pickups in the days to come, so make sure to bookmark this page and check back often! Then hit the comments to tell us which newbies are piquing your interest.
