SNL Stars Bring Nickelodeon's New Holiday Hero Albert to Life — Watch

Take a look at the Christmas tree in the corner of your living room. You probably see lights, ornaments, maybe even a little tinsel. But you know what you’re not seeing? That tree… has dreams.

At least that’s what Nickelodeon aims to prove with Albert, a new original movie about a Douglas fir tree (voiced by Saturday Night Live‘s Bobby Moynihan) who longs to become the most famous Christmas tree in Empire City.

Joined by his best friends — a perky palm tree named Maisie (SNL‘s Sasheer Zamata) and a too-honest weed named Gene (30 Rock’s Judah Friedlander) — Albert sets out to accomplish his goal, learning the true meaning of the holiday along the way.

TVLine has an exclusive clip, featuring Albert’s encounter with an evil cactus (The League’s Rob Riggle), to tide you over until the film’s premiere (Dec. 9 at 7/6c). So hit PLAY on the video above, then drop a comment with your thoughts below.
