It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Superman on Teen Wolf!
Dylan Sprayberry, who played a young Clark Kent in last year’s Man of Steel, is joining the MTV hit in Season 4 in a recurring role.

He will play Liam, an arrogant but big-hearted high-school freshman. With an enviable athletic prowess, he’s got perfect grades, perfect charm and is utterly unprepared to face the supernatural adversity of Beacon Hills.
Sprayberry also guest-starred on Glee as a young version of Matt Bomer (aka Blaine’s bro Cooper).
Did they deliberately cast someone who looks like Styles?
No, not every white guy with dark hair look the same, aside from similar( but not the same) hair color and skin tone, Sprayberry and O’Brien look nothing alike. Moving along he looks like he’ll fit right in.
I was actually about to say the same thing Gretchen did. It’s just her opinion. Also no one is saying that every white guy looks alike. We just noticed that there are some similarities between Dylan and O’Brien.
Has Teen Wolf already been renewed for S4?
Yes
12 episode renewal back in October. I can’t find anything about the timing for the season though, so don’t know if it start in June as normal or follow the season 3B start date in January.
As far as I know, Season 4 will still start at the summer like in previous seasons. Much of 3B have already been shot and finished. :)
Did they really need another white guy? I’m sure he’s a great actor and all that, it’s just that they’ve taken great steps towards being more diverse lately and I’d like to see that continue.
Tyler Posey’s half-Hispanic so that’s a plus. :D
Similar thought here. They’ve been doing better in 3b to correct some of their racist/misogynistic/homophobic plot pushes from 3a but siiiigh
What homophobic plot pushes? The show is run by a gay man and this show has some of the most (refreshingly) nonchalant representation of gay characters on TV.
They’re represented well when they’re actually around, which isn’t often. Danny barely shows up, and the level of queerbaiting is insane.
It’s totally name casting;) Now they have two Tylers and two Dylans. Next one to be cast will be a Daniel.
For 5 seconds I actually got excited thinking they had cast Tom W. or Brandon R.
I know. I’m still waiting for both of them to get TV deals pronto!
well we know whos the next love interest lydia is gonna have …
Ya either for Lydia or for Stiles – if they are serious in exploring a bi narrative for him. But probably Lydia
for stiles ? why would stiles date a guy ?
Not too sure about love interest stuff at the beginning, since the actor at the moment is only 15! I suppose they could do young teen/puppy love type stuff, but it’d be a bit odd to me to go further than that even when he’s 16, especially with Lydia considering Holland is 27. Plus a freshman is what 14/15 generally? (Sorry not from the US).
I did like his performance in Man of Steel, so interested to watch him as a young actor in general.
Yeah, I’m hoping for more gay, personally. This new casting just seems pretty typical of this show at this point. It’s all gotten too formulaic for me. A new moster/big bad of the season and a few new heterosexual characters for the regulars to swap around with.
I’m still loving Teen Wolf, they’re still giving us great character moments and backstory stuff, but I really need them to start stepping outside the box.
Crazy theory time: he’ll be a distant member of Jackson’s biological family and JD will dump the remainder of Jackson’s plot on him. /only half joking.
Theory:This is Scott’s half-brother. Agent McCall’s secret reason for returning to Beacon Hills is that he other so has a terminal disease and he is hoping Scott is a match and will donate. Scott can’t, because he is a werewolf, BUT Scott as an Alpha can bite him and save him via making him a werewolf.
