Megan Fox Returning to New Girl for Major Season 6 Stint
So… Nick and Reagan’s summer in New Orleans apparently went well.
Megan Fox has signed on to return to New Girl in Season 6 for a huge arc (as many as eight episodes!), TVLine has learned exclusively. In the Fox comedy’s Season 5 finale, Nick (Jake Johnson) informed Jess (Zooey Deschanel) that he intended to spend three months in the Big Easy with sorta-girlfriend Reagan (Fox) as she adjusts to her new job.
However, when Nick reappears at the loft at the start of Season 6 don’t expect Reagan to be on his arm. Sources confirm that the character won’t resurface until midseason. (A fall return was ruled out in light of the fact that Fox is due to give birth to her third child with husband Brian Austin Green any day now).
The actress joined New Girl last fall to temporarily fill the void left by leading lady Zooey Deschanel during her maternity leave. Her run was so well received that producers booked her for additional episodes later in the season, including the May finale.
New Girl‘s sixth season premieres Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 8:30/7:30c on Fox.
Sure there will be much complaining here but I think it is great!! Gives a different aspect to the show
I agree, I really liked her on the show. She was the anti-Jess, and brought a new dynamic.
I think everyone was surprised how great her episodes were. Looking forward to her return!
Like many, I was skeptical when she was cast, but she brought a really fun and new dynamic to the apartment, and I’m happy to see her back again this season.
I really enjoyed her last season. I’m happy to hear that she will be returning.

Yeeey! And even better she’s coming later on. If it was just the first 8 episodes it’s kinda clear – they come back together, spend some time in a relationship, break up to make way for Jess and Nick. But now that he will come back alone and reunite with her later, I don’t know what they have come up with in terms of story. Can’t wait to find out! BTW I am so glad to see people who liked her are more than the haters. I agree she is a fresh addition to the show.
I don’t get the negativity about her coming back. She fit in well and she attracts new viewers. It’s not as though she’s Jame Franco and this is General Hospital!
Her character was nice but I absolutely hate what she brings in Nick. She makes him dumb and their relationship honestly doesn’t makes sense. I can’t see how these two people who are so different and not in a way that complement each other could last this long together. In real life Reagan would dump Nick after a month.
I liked Megan Fox acting way more than I ever thought I would but Reagan doesn’t fit the show, I didn’t like her energy or her chemistry with the characters, especially Nick. I think she only had a nice friendly chemistry with Winston, period.
I really enjoyed her character last season, so I’m happy to hear this news. Reagan quite literally took Jess’s place in the show so it will be interesting to see how these relationships work when both characters are around together for an extended time. Especially now that Jess has realized she’s in love with Nick.
Less Nick, less Jess, less Winston, less Cece, Less Schmidt. No the the way I want the show to go out.
Less Jess and Less Winston doesn’t sound bad. At all. If we could get Coach back, I’m not sure anyone would miss Jess or Winston.
I’m sure most people would miss Winston and Jess. I know I would… I love Jess and Winston has been the funniest character for a while now.
I disagree. Winston is one of my favorite characters on the show. I’d most definitely miss him. I’m sure others would too.

I don’t think this has anything to do with Zooey leaving. I will agree it would be a spin off as the show title is Jess
I know but the comments on this post and others regarding Reagan have been the same, how annoying Jess is and how little those who say this would not miss her being on the show. Zooey is now a mom and I can sense that she would like to spend more time with her daughter and Megan Fox could be the ‘New Girl’ if you catch my drift
Nothing against Megan Fox necessarily but I found the character to be rather annoying. I couldn’t wait for Jess to come back last season.

Megan Fox is pretty lame in the show, she literally plays the cliche “I’m a hot girl who is to good for everyone” “listen to my one liners about how I don’t like anything.” She hasn’t had one funny line it’s more of the group and she just reacts negatively to whatever they are doing. She’s a waste of a character and should have only been on for a couple of episodes.
