Kim Kardashian Joins Horror Story‘s Pregnancy-Themed Season 12; Emma Roberts Also Returning — Watch Video
Now this is scary: Kim Kardashian on Monday revealed that she has joined the cast of American Horror Story‘s upcoming 12th season.
The news came via a video posted to social media, which also confirmed that Emma Roberts will be returning to the AHS fold. She hasn’t been seen on the FX anthology series since Season 9 (1984).
Season 12 will be based on the forthcoming Danielle Valentine novel Delicate Condition, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which is described as “the feminist update to Rosemary’s Baby we all needed.” The novel, which hits shelves in August, tells the story of a woman who “becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens.” The entire season will be tackled by one writer, Halley Feiffer.
“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” series co-creator Ryan Murphy says in a statement. “Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.”

To her credit, this won’t be Kardashian’s first acting experience. Occasionally playing an exaggerated version of herself, the reality star has appeared on multiple TV shows over the years, including 90210, Last Man Standing and Drop Dead Diva. She also had a memorable role in the 2013 film Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.
Kardashian’s turn as Saturday Night Live host in 2021 also reportedly impressed series creator Ryan Murphy, who is friends with her.
It was previously reported that Matt Czuchry, fresh off the cancellation of Fox’s The Resident, will also make his American Horror Story debut in Season 12.
American Horror Story premiered in 2011, with its first season later being dubbed Murder House. Subsequent seasons included Asylum (2012), Coven (2013), Freak Show (2014), Hotel (2015), Roanoke (2016), Cult (2017), Apocalypse (2018), 1984 (2019), Double Feature (2021) and NYC (2022).

Exactly, was keen to watch when I read that Matt was joining but now with Kim K, yeah, hard pass as much as I love Matt, I have never and will never watch anything with a Kardashian involved.

I got that excited when they killed off Emma Roberts’ character in Coven, only for them to bring her back 2 or 3 episodes later. Don’t get too excited if that does happen.

Big fan of AHS, will check it out and try to keep an open mind. I hope Matt Czuchry has some butt scenes.

I think Ryan Murphy should read the room. It’s pretty clear from the comments here and other social media that the public is finally getting bored of the Kardashians and they are beginning their cancellation era, especially Kim K. Even if mainstream media isn’t reporting it, word has spread that Kim K stole Kimoji’s and ruined the original creator’s life. That coupled with the fact she publicly tried to pressure the governor of California to release a convicted killer on death row who brutally murdered 2 children and 2 adults after escaping prison where he was serving time for SA of a minor while trying to rob a house should be more than enough to cancel this dangerous, deluded attention seeking reality tv star.
Welp 11 seasons was a good run. I cannot support her.

Okay but the “Kim” of it aside… this sounds interesting! One writer the whole season and based on a book means it can hopefully be an actually cohesive season that makes sense start to finish with a real beginning, middle and end haha.
That’s what I’m thinking, very unusual approach in that it’s both an adaptation and credited to a sole writer. I’m intrigued. It’s not been hard to avoid all the Kardashian stuff before so I have no opinion on one person in the ensemble.
Not a fan of hers at all, but I will continue to watch AHS. If I made it through Roanoke, I can make it through any season.
Of course you made it though Roanoke, it’s right up there with Asylum and Murder House as AHS’ best seasons. NYC was the real challenge.
Ugh! Way to kill a good (most of the time) series! I refused to watch SNL when she hosted and I refuse to watch this – unless they promised to kill her off in the first episode, but it doesn’t sound like that’s what they have in mind, unfortunately. I’m out this season.

I enjoyed Murder House & Asylum. I didn’t finish Coven, Freak Show, or Hotel. The quality just started falling off. I gave up after that but I still sort of keep up with news about the show and this just kills me. Still…I prefer Kim K to Emma Roberts. yikes.
I didn’t like last season. Couldn’t get into it. But the premise of this season sounds like a return to form for the series. Let’s wait & see what they do.

I’ve never watched Keeping up with the Kardashians and im not about to start! So AHS ends at season 11 for me. It was a fairly decent run.
