Ratings: Masked Singer Returns Low But Tops Night, AGT Has Bigger Crowd

Ratings Masked Singer Season 4

In the latest TV show ratings, Fox’s The Masked Singer opened Season 4 with 5.9 million total viewers and a 1.6 demo rating (per finals), down 23 and 20 percent from Season 3’s Wednesday averages to mark its third-smallest audience and match its demo low. That said, it still dominated the night in the demo. TVLine readers gave the premiere an average grade of “A-“ (read exit interview).

Leading out of Masked Singer, the hiiiiighly derivative I Can See Your Voice debuted to 4.6 mil and a 1.2 (and a TVLine reader grade of “B-“), demonstrating far better retention than Almost Family‘s year-ago premiere.

NBC | America’s Got Talent (6.6 mil/0.9) hit Wednesday season highs with its finale, and drew the night’s largest audience; about 83 percent of TVLine readers disagree with the winner.

CBS | Big Brother (4.2 mil/1.2) and Love Island (1.9 mil/0.6) both ticked up from their previous Wednesday outings.

THE CW | The 100 (523K/0.1, read recap) ticked down, while Coroner (718K/0.1) was steady with its Season 1 finale.

ABC | Guardians of the Galaxy averaged 2 mil/0.4.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our ratings column do not reflect a show’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless denoted as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. Warning: Contents may be hot!
