For This Is Us‘s Randall, things are about to get as complicated at work as they’ve been at home.
Hari Dhillon (Law & Order: SVU) has joined the cast of NBC’s hit freshman drama in a recurring role, according to our sister site Deadline. Dhillon will play a new workplace rival for Randall, played by Sterling K. Brown. Do we sense a commodities-trader fight brewing? At least maybe it’ll get Randall’s mind off all those adopted mom/birth father issues.
Dhillon has played attorney Sunil Varma in four episodes of SVU over the past three seasons; he also plays Pakistan’s foreign minister Konstantin Abedi on CBS’ Madam Secretary. Before that, he had a seven-year stint on the UK medical drama Holby City as surgeon Michael Spence.
This Is Us — which just scored three Golden Globe nominations, including one for Best Drama Series — returns with new episodes Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 9/8c on NBC.
