Samantha Bee's Full Frontal Renewed as TBS Shifts Show to New Night

Full Frontal with Samantha Bee Renewed for Season 2

TBS will be heading into a Trump presidency with its biggest gun still blazing: The cabler has renewed Full Frontal with Samantha Bee for a second season.

In making the announcement, TBS also revealed that the show would be moving from Mondays at 10:30/9:30c to Wednesdays at 10:30/9:30c, beginning with its Season 2 premiere on Jan. 11.

In a statement, Bee joked, “I am only sorry that this renewal leaves me unavailable for a cabinet position in the new administration. I will, however, be available to host the White House Correspondents Dinner, seeing as I already bought the dress.”

The pickup comes as Full Frontal‘s ratings are beginning to match its growing buzz. Per TBS, the show is drawing an average weekly audience of 3.3 million viewers across multiple platforms and currently ranks among late-night’s top 3 series among adults 18-49.

“Of course we’re picking up the show,” said TBS’ VP of original programming Thom Hinkle. “In less than a year, Sam has become one of the most talked-about personalities in all of television and Full Frontal‘s audience continues to grow.”
