Laurie Holden is about to resuscitate Stan Beeman’s walking dead love life.
The actress is joining Season 5 of The Americans as a romantic interest for Noah Emmerich lovelorn G-man, TVLine has learned exclusively. She’ll play the recurring role of Renee, a new woman in town who captures the interest of Stan when they meet at the gym. Renee easily keeps up with the guys watching sports, drinking beer, and fly fishing, but is she the woman of Stan’s dreams?
Holden, best known for her three-season run as Andrea Harrison on The Walking Dead, more recently guest-starred on TNT’s Major Crimes and NBC’s Chicago Fire. Additional TV credits include The X-Files and The Shield.
Production on The Americans‘ 13-episode fifth season is currently underway ahead of a 2017 launch date.
