Don’t expect to hear a John Mayer album bumping in Brian Griffin’s car anytime soon.*
Sunday’s Family Guy season premiere (Fox, 9/8c) finds the Griffin family’s pet teaming up with its youngest member to form a band for babies — one that sings about real stuff babies are going through in their day-to-day lives.
“If you want a song a baby’ll like, you’ve got to get a baby to write it,” Stewie says in TVLine’s exclusive clip from the episode.
“Well, call John Mayer,” Brian responds. “He’s a big fat baby.” (Ouch…?)
As TVLine exclusively reported, Sunday’s premiere will also feature an appearance form Vinny (voiced by Tony Sirico), the dog who temporarily replaced Brian following his death in Season 12; executive producer Richard Appel refers to Vinny’s brief return as a “very welcome cameo.”
Additionally, Mark-Paul Gosselaar will appear in the upcoming season, reprising his Saved By the Bell character to help recreate an iconic scene involving caffeine pills. (I think you can figure out the rest.)

*Actually, given everything we know about Brian being a hypocritical garbage creature, it’s entirely possibly you would find a Mayer album playing in his car.
