Will Freeform’s next romantic drama fill the Pretty Little Liars-shaped hole in viewers’ hearts?
That’s what the network is hoping, as it prepares to launch Famous in Love — developed by PLL showrunner Marlene King — on the same night the Liars return for their final run of 10 episodes.
Based on the novel by Rebecca Serle, Famous in Love follows Paige Townsen (Scream‘s Bella Thorne), a regular college student who gains instant stardom when she’s cast in a huge Hollywood blockbuster. But with fame comes (mis)fortune: Not only must Paige choose between her two handsome co-stars — played by The Following‘s Carter Jenkins and Faking It‘s Keith Powers — but she’s also tasked with uncovering the truth about a missing popstar.
