The fourth world in Dick Wolf’s #OneChicago-verse, Chicago Justice, has added Monica Barbarao aka UnREAL‘s Yael/”Hot Rachel” as a series regular.
Premiering at midseason, Chicago Justice follows the State’s Attorney’s dedicated team of prosecutors and investigators as they navigate heated city politics and controversy head-on while fearlessly pursuing justice.
Per our sister site Deadline, Barbara will play a whip-smart, quick-tongued Assistant State’s Attorney who can — wait for it — “drink beers with the boys or take a night out at the opera.”
The Chicago P.D. offshoot’s cast also includes Philip Winchester (Strike Back), Carl Weathers (Colony), Joelle Carter (Justified) and Ryan-James Hatanaka, while Law & Order vet Michael S. Chernuchin will serve as showrunner. (Nazneen Contractor, who played a different ASA in the backdoor pilot, is not continuing with the series.)
In addition to her UnREAL run, Barbaro’s TV credits include episodes of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Hawaii Five-0 and Stitchers.
