JoAnna Garcia Swisher is stepping up to the plate for Fox’s baseball-themed drama Pitch (premiering Sept. 22).

The Once Upon a Time alumna will recur as Rachel Patric, a Katie Couric/Megyn Kelly-type newscaster and the ex-wife of Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s catcher, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Swisher — who most recently appeared on the late Fox comedy Grandfathered — makes her debut in Episode 2 of the series, which follows the first woman (Twisted‘s Kylie Bunbury) to play in Major League Baseball.
