TVLine Items: Poldark Renewed, New Role for Shameless Star and More


Poldark fans have nothing to worry about:  BBC One has announced that the history drama has been renewed for a 10-episode Season 3, expected to air sometime in 2017.

The third season of the series, based on Winston Graham’s novels and adapted for TV by Debbie Horsfield, follows Captain Ross Poldark (played by Aidan Turner) and his wife Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) during the French Revolution in 1794.

Stateside, Poldark airs on PBS, where Season 2 is set to premiere Sunday, Sept. 25 at 8/7c (two hours).
