Westworld Trailer: Get a New Look at HBO's Sci-Fi Epic From J.J. Abrams

HBO on Sunday released a new trailer for Westworld, the highly anticipated sci-fi drama from executive producers J.J. Abrams and Jonathan Nolan (Person of Interest).

The series, which is loosely based on Michael Crichton’s 1973 movie of the same name, is a dystopian western amid the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs), Jeffrey Wright (Boardwalk Empire), Thandie Newton (Rogue), James Marsden (30 Rock), Evan Rachel Wood (Once and Again) and Ed Harris (The Rock) star.

The 10-episode first season, which also stars Jimmi Simpson (Hap and Leonard), Shannon Woodward (Raising Hope) and Clifton Collins, Jr. (Red Widow), is set to debut in October.

    Sci-fi western… if Firefly couldn’t make it work, I don’t have high hopes for this either :( That being said, it still looks awesome so I’ll take my chances and check it out

    i cant believe people dont know Yul Brynner movie

      We’re out there – lol! Yul Brynner scared the crap out of me in the film when i was a kid. But then, to a little kid, I think Yul Brynner was kind of scary in general. LOL!

    Well I won’t be watching it, too much graphic sex scenes. Don’t really get why they need to throw that in.. dont need to see that.
