John Stamos Joins Scream Queens Season 2 as Series Regular

John Stamos Scream Queens

Fox euthanized Grandfathered but it’s hanging on to John Stamos.

The TV vet has been tapped to join Scream Queens‘ hospital-set second season as a series regular, TVLine has learned. He’ll play Dr. Brock Holt, a brilliant — but secretive — head surgeon employed at the hospital, where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation.

This will mark Stamos’ third collaboration with Scream Queens exec producer Ryan Murphy, following guest stints on Glee and The New Normal.

Stamos joins returning Scream Queens cast members Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell and Niecy Nash, all of whom will be reprising their Season 1 roles.

Last month, Fox cancelled Stamos’ low-rated comedy Grandfathered after one season.

Scream Queens‘ launches Season 2 on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 9/8c.
