Joel McHale‘s time at Greendale Community College is going to seem relatively normal compared to his next small-screen endeavor.
The star of CBS’ upcoming The Great Indoors will appear in an episode of Hulu’s Dimension 404, our sister site Deadline reports, playing the wacky creator of a matchmaking service. (Appropriately, McHale’s character’s name is — wait for it — Mr. Maker.) As you may have inferred, Mr. Maker’s service is the same one that matches Lea Michele and Robert Buckley’s characters; their casting was announced last week.
Additionally, Sarah Hyland will appear in a separate episode, in which her character — a high-school student named Claire — experiences “Cinethrax,” a weird, totally unsafe new way of watching movies.
As previously reported, Dimension 404 is a sci-fi series which explores the “weird side of the web.” The anthology, also from RocketJump and Lionsgate, has been ordered for six episodes.
