Nick Kroll (Kroll Show) and John Mulaney (Saturday Night Live) are headed back to high school by way of Netflix.
The comedians will lend their voices to Big Mouth, a 10-episode animated comedy coming to the streaming service in 2017. The duo will play Nick and Andrew, two teenagers going through puberty.
Additional voices include Maya Rudolph (Maya & Marty), Jason Mantzoukas (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Jordan Peele (Key and Peele), Fred Armisen (Portlandia), Jenny Slate (Bob’s Burgers) and Jessi Klein (Inside Amy Schumer).
Kroll, Andrew Goldberg (Family Guy), Mark Levin (The Wonder Years) and Jennifer Flackett (Beverly Hills, 90210) all serve as creators and executive producers.
“There are few things that keep me up at night … Nick Kroll’s adventures in puberty is one of them, so we greenlit this series with very few questions asked,” Cindy Holland, Netflix’s vice president of original programming, said in a statement.
Added Kroll, “Andrew and I have been best friends since 1st grade, so this show is over 30 years in the making. I can’t wait to tell all the stories that make up the glorious nightmare of puberty.”
