Lea Michele Dimension 404

Lea Michele, Robert Buckley Join Hulu Anthology Series Dimension 404

Forget serial killers and zombies — Lea Michele (Scream Queens) and Robert Buckley (iZombie) are about to face the greatest enemy of all: the world of online dating.

The duo has been cast in a standalone episode of Dimension 404, a new Hulu series which explores the “weird side of the web.” The anthology series, also from RocketJump and Lionsgate, has been ordered for six episodes.

Michele will play Amanda, a type-A lady who resorts to a matchmaking service after a messy breakup. She’s paired with Adam (Buckley), who makes things weird by dropping the L-bomb way too soon — and their split proves even messier than Amanda’s first.

Additionally, Trophy Wife‘s Ryan Lee will appear in a 1982-set episode as Andrew, a video game addict. Constantly bullied by his peers for being gay, Andrew takes refuge at Ernie’s Arcade, where he discovers the “bloody provenance” of a new, never-before-played game.

  1. Alan Martins Rodrigues says:

Phew, you had me worried there for a while that iZombie’s next season would be a little “minor”, but if it’s a standalone episode it probably will have no effect on his schedule for the show.

  2. Sam says:

I’m just glad that Lea’s finally doing something outside of Ryan Murphy productions, but I’m sure that it’s inevitable that the people convinced that Lea’s a secret lesbian dating Dianna Agron will use this to say that Lea and Robert dating is PR (for one episode…but no one said they’re logical).

  3. Lea Michelle playing a Type-A lady? Wow, she’s really branching out of her comfort zone.

    • DCL33 says:

Either she or whoever is producing this. She does not have the chops for this. She does not have the talent or desirability to draw in viewers.

      • guest says:

lea does have the chops and the talent. you are full if rubbish

        • DCL33 says:

I need you to clean your glasses, you have Lea stains on it. Only talent she has is being loud and obnoxious. Her singing voice is ok, but even that gets annoying after awhile. She was supposed to be the next big thing after Glee, yet only one who gave her a job was Murphy. There is a reason why she is not getting any gigs, her personality and her VERY VERY limited acting skills.

          • truth says:

You need to clean you hater glasses. Lea is a capable actor why she has been working consistently for 20 years.

    • dude says:

She doesn’t have a lot of range. Her roles always seem to circle crazy and uptight. She was okay in Sons of Anarchy but that was like three scenes. Beautiful singing voice though.

      • huh? says:

She has a whole range of characters on stage/screen. From Anne Frank to a young girl dealing with the unforeseen circumstances of love and sex to Rachel Berry to a psychotic killer.

    • Anna says:

Lmao she doesn’t have the acting ability to play anything else. Why people keep casting her is the better question…

  4. Wordsmith says:

It sounds like Hulu got jealous that Netflix picked up Black Mirror, so they decided to make one of their own.

  5. Joey Padron says:

Good casting they got for guest stars for their new show. Glad this won’t affect Robert doing iZombie.

  6. Sue says:

As long as Robert is still Major on iZombie, it’s all good.

  7. Anna says:

*Breath of relief* at “standalone episode”
I thought for a second this meant Major was peacing out of iZombie. Don’t scare me like that, TVLine.

Sounds a bit like Love American Style updated. Could be interesting.
