Cristin Milioti and Nina Pedrad are about to have their hands very, very full: The How I Met Your Mother actress and the New Girl scribe will write, star in and executive-produce a comedy pilot for FX, the network announced Wednesday.
The half-hour potential series centers on Maxine (Milioti), an actress-turned-process-server; her friends Natalie (Pedrad), a drug dealer who doesn’t like being called that, and Amy; and stepbrother Landis. (Amy and Landis have yet to be cast.)
Rob McElhenny, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) also are among the project’s producers.
Milioti’s TV work includes Fargo, 30 Rock, The Mindy Project, A to Z and The Sopranos. Pedrad, who also served as supervising producer on New Girl, wrote for and appeared on 30 Rock.
