TV Land Orders Nobodies Comedy From Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone

Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone are bringing their nobody friends to TV Land.

The cable network has given a series order to Nobodies, a new comedy from the married producing team and showrunner Michael McDonald (MADtv).

The show stars Groundlings alums Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf and Rachel Ramras as pals looking to rise to fame in Hollywood by getting one of their famous friends to star in a feature script that they developed.

Falcone will direct and guest-star in the pilot, which was written by Davidson, Dorf and Ramras. The first episode also features guest spots from the couple’s Bridesmaids castmate Maya Rudolph (Saturday Night Live), Jason Bateman (Arrested Development), Jim Rash (Community) and Nat Faxon (Married).

“Working with our hilarious and talented friends Rachel, Hugh and Larry is a complete joy,” McCarthy and Falcone said in a statement. “Adding a person of Mike’s caliber and a network as supportive as TV Land is truly a dream come true.”
