Ratings: AGT Returns Steady, POI Rises

America’s Got Talent opened Season 11 on Tuesday night with 11.5 million total viewers and a 2.5 rating — up in audience versus its year-ago opener and off just a tenth in the demo. Readers gave Simon Cowell an average grade of “D+” as a judge.

Leading out of that, Maya & Marty debuted to 6.4 mil and a 1.5 (and an average “B-” grade)— down 16 percent in the demo from what I Can Do That (6.4 mil/1.8) did out of the AGT premiere a year ago.

Elsewhere in the ratings….

THE CW | Now leading out of a Flash rerun, Containment (1.11 mil/0.4) dipped to series lows.

CBS | Person of Interest (6.6 mil/1.0) ticked up to its best numbers since May 17/in five episodes, with Episode 100 averaging a grade of “A-.”

ABC | 500 Questions did 4.3 mil/0.8 and 4.1 mil/0.9.

FOX | Hotel Hell (2.4 mil/0.8) and Coupled (1.5 mil/0.5) were flat.
