ABC Orders Conviction Drama to Series, Starring Agent Carter's Hayley Atwell

Conviction Series Hayley Atwell

Despite Agent Carter‘s fresh termination, Hayley Atwell will be on ABC next TV season, now that the network has ordered the legal drama Conviction to series.

TV’s erstwhile Peggy Carter stars on the new series as Hayes Morrison, a lawyer and former First Daughter who is about to accept a job from her sexy nemesis, New York District Attorney Wayne Wallis (CSI: NY‘s Eddie Cahill), to avoid jail time for cocaine possession and avoid hurting her mother’s Senate campaign. Working with Wayne’s team at the new Conviction Integrity Unit, Hayes uses her brilliant mind to turn over cases where there is credible suspicion of wrongful conviction, and give her a chance to turn things around with her high-powered political family.

Conviction also stars Shawn Ashmore (The Following) as Sam Sullivan, Merrin Dungey (Alias) as Maxine, Emily Kinney (The Walking Dead) as Tess Thompson, Manny Montana (Graceland) as Franklin “Frankie” Rios and Daniel DiTomasso (Witches of East End) as Jackson Morrison.
