Brace yourself for the most 2016 thing you’ll read all day: MTV on Thursday announced that it’s relaunching its reality classic Cribs as a short-form series… on Snapchat.
Launching in June and airing weekly, this new Cribs — accessible via Snapchat Discover — will feature celebrities “providing fans with an intimate, vertical video viewing experience right in the palm of their hands.” In case you’re unfamiliar with the original concept of Cribs, which aired in the early 2000s, it was a weekly series in which actors, musicians and athletes gave
poor people viewers a peek inside the ridiculous palaces they called “home.”
One of the most infamous episodes involved Mariah Carey giving a bubbly tour of her New York City penthouse in 2002:
Mac Miller, Austin Mahone and Travis Mills are among the first artists confirmed to appear on the newly re-launched Cribs.
