Greek Revival Movie Set at Freeform

Kappa Tau wow: Freeform is rushing a Greek revival!

The network formerly known as ABC Family has greenlit Greek: The Reunion, which the cabler describes as “a holiday movie” which finds the crew returning to Cypress-Rhodes University for their five-year reunion.

Greek premiered in 2007 and ran for four seasons and 74 episodes, before concluding in 2011. The cast included then-unknowns Spencer Grammer, Scott Michael Foster, Jake McDorman and Amber Stevens.

Following the show’s series finale in 2011, Greek creator Sean Smith told TVLine that he intentionally left things relatively open-ended so “I could imagine where they were going… For me, keeping it open allowed me to have the imagination to think of where I want them to go, as much as I want the audience to do the same.”

That said, he did offer these predictions: “I think Casey and Cappie got to Washington, and I think he found something exciting and satisfying for him. I think Casey got to kick ass and I’d like to think that they ended up together forever.”

Smith will serve as an EP on the revival alongside Shawn Piller and Lloyd Segan.
