TVLine Items: Hulu Sets Summer Returns, OLTL Alum on Castle and More

Proving once again that summer is no longer the TV dead zone, Hulu has announced June and July return dates for its buzziest original series.

Leading the pack is Golden Globe-nominated dramedy Casual, which kicks off its second season with a two-episode premiere on Tuesday, June 7. Difficult People also will begin Season 2 with a double-pump (July 12), and drama East Los High will drop its 12-episode fourth season in full on Friday, July 15.

Additionally, The Mindy Project will wrap Season 4 on Tuesday, July 5.

* Three-time Daytime Emmy nominee Bree Williamson (Jessica et al., One Life to Live) will guest-star on the April 18 episode of ABC’s Castle, in which Hayley is implicated in a murder.

* Freeform is teaming with Selena Gomez and Aaron Kaplan (The Mysteries of Laura) for a drama series described as a Latina Empire. The untitled project is set in a low-income Latino neighborhood and told through the eyes of an 18-year-old girl destined for greatness.

* TV and film vet Faye Dunaway will recur on Season 2 of Amazon’s drama Hand of God. Per Deadline, she will play Valerie “Aunt Val” Harris, the calculating and greedy head of the Harris family.

* Aimee Carrero (Young & Hungry) will reprise her Blindspot role of hacker Ana Montes in the NBC drama’s Season 1 finale, EW.com reports.
