Here’s some renewal news from AMC that kicks butt (and a number of other body parts).
The cable network announced on Tuesday that it has renewed its martial-arts drama Into the Badlands for a 10-episode second season. TVLine’s Cable Renewal Scorecard has been updated to reflect the news.
Season 2 of the Daniel Wu action vehicle will premiere in 2017.
According to AMC, Into the Badlands averaged 5.6 million viewers per episode, including a 3.4 rating in the 18-49 demo, using live + 7-day ratings DVR ratings.
Simultaneous to its U.S. launch, AMC Global will premiere new episodes within minutes of the U.S. broadcast, similar to its rollout in 125 countries for its debut season.
