Jonathan Groff has secured a killer new TV gig.
The Looking actor — who’s currently stealing scenes in Hamilton on Broadway — has signed on to star in Mindhunter, David Fincher’s forthcoming Netflix series based on the 1996 nonfiction book Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit.
The book, written by John Douglas and Mark Olshaker, chronicled Douglas’ pursuit of some of the most notorious serial killers and rapists. Fincher will direct the premiere and serve as an EP with Charlize Theron.
Details on Groff’s series-regular role are being kept under wraps. Netflix declined to comment.
Groff recently completed work on Looking‘s two-hour wrap-up movie, which will air later this year on HBO.
