Ratings: American Crime, black-ish Rise

The antepenultimate episode of ABC’s American Crime Season 2 drew 3.5 million total viewers and a 0.9 demo rating this Wednesday, up 10 percent and a tenth week-to-week.

Leading into that, a powerful installment of black-ish did 6.2 mil and a 1.9, up 9 percent and a tenth. TVLine readers gave the episode an average grade of “B+.”

Opening ABC’s night, The Middle (7.3 mil/1.9) was flat, Goldbergs (6.4 mil/1.9) ticked down and Modern Family (8 mil/2.5) inched up a tenth.

Elsewhere in the ratings….

THE CW | Arrow (2.7 mil/1.0) rose 11 percent and a tenth, while Supernatural (1.9 mil/0.7) ticked down.

NBC | Part 1 of Mysteries of Laura‘s Season 2 finale was steady with 6.7 mil and a 1.0. SVU (6.6 mil/1.5) slipped 14 percent and two tenths, while Chicago P.D. (7 mil/1.6) was flat.

CBS | Survivor (8.6 mil/2.0) was up a tenth from its opener, Criminal Minds (8.8 mil/1.8) was steady and Code Black‘s freshman finale (6.9 mil/1.2, average grade of “B+”) grew 15 and 20 percent.

FOX | American Idol (8.9 mil/2.1) inched up 8 percent and a tenth week-to-week.
