NBC Sets Dates for Carmichael's Return, 3 New Series Premieres

NBC is filling up its winter calendar with a little help from The Voice.

The singing competition show will serve as a lead-in for preview episodes of The Carmichael Show — officially returning for its second season on March 13 (9/8c) — and several new series coming to the Peacock network.

All told, here’s a rundown of what NBC has in store for us in March/April:

Tuesday, March 8

10:30 pm The Carmichael Show preview episode

Sunday, March 13
9 pm The Carmichael Show‘s official season premiere (back-to-back episodes)

Tuesday, March 15
10 pm Back-to-back preview episodes of Crowded, a new comedy about empty nesters — Family Guy‘s Patrick Warburton and True Blood‘s Carrie Preston — whose two grown daughters (Miranda Corsgrove and Mia Serafino) decide to move back home.

Sunday, March 20
9:30 pm Crowded‘s official series premiere

Tuesday, March 22
9 pm Preview episode of Heartbeat (fka Heartbreaker), a new medical drama starring The Good Wife‘s Melissa George as an unconventional heart transplant surgeon.

Wednesday, March 23

Thursday, April 7
10 pm Game of Silence series premiere, in which four best friends — Revolution‘s David Lyons, True Blood‘s Michael Raymond James, Rush‘s Larenz Tate and Hawaii Five-0‘s Claire Van Der Bloom — discover that a 25-year-old secret isn’t quite as buried as they’d hoped.

Heartbeat sounds interesting, despite the inevitable onslaught of Greys Anatomy comparisons

  2. Laura says:

I want to try Heartbeat, just to see if I can like Melissa George in something. As long as she’s not married to Michael Vaughn, there’s a chance.

  3. El S Boy says:

and no Night Shift news… :(

    Well that suck !

  4. Mark V says:

    Finally The Carmichael Show!

  5. LADY_in_MD says:

Looking forward to the Carmichael show coming back I really enjoyed the first season

    • I checked it out (2 episodes), and didn’t like it enough to continue. None of these others strike my fancy, although I might check out Game of Silence. I can’t imagine Heartbeat being better than Code Black, which is becoming one of my favorite shows this season.

  6. Mr. Tran K says:

So excited about Game of Silence and getting placed in the 10 pm Thursday night time slot premiering April 7th should give a big boost for a Blacklist lead-in.

  7. Joey Padron says:

I’ll check out Crowded and Game Of Silence.

  8. Maryann says:

I’m looking forward to Game of Silence. Heartbeat I will be skipping. I can’t stand Melissa George’s character.

  9. Ally Oop says:

I’m interested in Game of Silence.

  10. Lyn says:

It’s reached a point where all I watch on NBC is Hollywood game Night and Lester Holt on the news.
