Made In LA Freeform

Gossip Girl Duo, Mila Kunis Teaming Up for Fashion Comedy on Freeform

ABC Family — soon to be Freeform — is getting into the fashion business with help from a few big names.

Gossip Girl masterminds Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, along with Family Guy‘s Mila Kunis, will executive-produce Made in LA, a half-hour comedy about “friendship and fashion,” our sister site Deadline reports.

The project is based on The Glitter Plan, a 2014 memoir by Juicy Couture founders Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor about building a fashion empire with just $200 to start.

Sascha Rothchild (The Carrie Diaries) will pen the pilot. She will also serve as an executive producer alongside Ochard Farm Productions’ Cami Curtis, Susan Curtis and Lisa Sterbakov.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

  1. Ian says:

Could go either way. Fashion’s already perceived largely as a shallow world, so this show needs to play it that much more sophisticated. Sophisticated character drama set in a realistic part of the industry. Uhh, Devil Wears Prada (?)

  2. Kris says:

Still have my “never watch anything Josh Schwartz or Stephanie Savage make” pact in place, Gossip Girl was the worst show ever, Hard Pass!

  3. MissEllys says:

    Freeform is mostly a skip.

  4. BrightLight says:

I think I’d rather see “Jane By Design” return from the grave.
