Walking Dead's Norman Reedus to Star In Biker-Themed Reality Series at AMC

AMC continues to ride the Walking Dead wave, ordering a new six-part, motorcycle-themed reality series starring fan favorite Norman Reedus.

Ride with Norman Reedus, which is slated to debut in 2016, “will follow actor and biker-enthusiast Reedus as he takes viewers on a ride on the open road to explore local motorcycle culture and its history and celebrate some of the best and brightest collectors, mechanics and motorcycle craftsmen around the country,” per the network’s official release, which went on to explain, “Each episode of Ride will begin in a different city where Reedus and his riding companion — a fellow actor, musician, friend, or local chopper fanatic who shares his passion for motorcycles — will journey to a new destination. Along the way, they will stop at various locales such as custom bike shops, tattoo parlors, collector’s warehouses, or a roadside smokehouse… with plenty of time for unplanned detours and tire changes. The series will also showcase different types of motorcycles each week including vintage, minis and cruisers.”

In a statement, Reedus thanked AMC “for giving me the opportunity to share a passion of mine with our fans, and hopefully a whole new audience. I had a lot of fun filming and exploring, and I hope it shows.”

Ride with Norman Reedus is EP’d by Ken Druckerman and Banks Tarver (Small Town Security).

UM. Total coincidence that the related post on this page is the now infamous “killing off a co-lead” Blind Item right?

    • Guest says:

Although Daryl is the breakout character of this show, he’s definitely not billed as co-lead. Rich is the protagonist and everyone else is just supporting, so I would not worry about him yet.

    • tvjunkie says:

it’s 6 episodes. add that the number of WD episodes in a season and you get about the equivalent of a full network show season. the point being there is plenty of time for him to do both as long ass they don’t film at the same time

      • LC says:

And, it’s a reality show. Reedus can pretty much film when he has time. He probably filmed over the summer (considering it’s about biker culture) around his WD shooting scheduled.

  2. wrstlgirl says:

So it’s already been filmed then?

  3. aph1976 says:

I don’t think will impact Norman Reedus’s status on The Walking Dead because i’m sure he could do both shows because they’re both on AMC.Plus TWD probably already wrapped taping for now.

  4. Azrielen says:

I wonder if Sean Patrick Flanery will show up on one of the episodes? :D

  5. Norma says:

I know Norman can pull off both shows he’s great and I would enjoy watching him in a bike show. I’m a huge bike fan I I say hr should do it. Go for it Reedus.

  6. Chris says:

This is great! I am restoring a 1938 Harley Knuckle EL, and would love to show it to the crew. Bike build/restoration should be done early 2016.

  7. Tony Lang says:

So AMC is doing “Reality” shows again? Or is this just a glitch in the Matrix?

  8. So yeah, I would watch Norman Reedus watch paint dry………

  9. Relaxxx says:

I hope his new show does well! He seems excited about it. He already filmed the new show while doing TWD so filming both wasn’t a problem. It’s all AMC!

  10. Jax&Juice's Girl says:

Oh I might have to check this OUT!!!! Love Norman aka Daryl I think it might be on during the winter break for S6B.

  11. Joey Padron says:

Sounds like a good show. Excited to see his new show!

Unrelated but I want Reedus to appear on Halt and Catch Fire as a retro hippie techie. Would be hilarious!
