Strike Back Movie

Strike Back Movie In the Works

Section 20 may live on to fight another day — and on the big screen.

London-based Left Bank Pictures is teaming with the UK’s Sky to adapt the Sky1 action series Strike Back (which airs on Cinemax in the U.S.) into a feature film, and in success a new franchise, reports.

The report comes on the day that Strike Back airs its penultimate episode Stateside.

Series leads Sullivan Stapleton and Philip Winchester — who currently front the freshman NBC dramas Blindspot and The Player, respectively — would likely star in the feature version, which potentially could film in 2016, in South America.

Would you buy a ticket to a Strike Back movie?

Would be great for Strike Back hitting the big screen. Blindspot and The Player are two of my favorite NEW shows on NBC and both of them will make it throughout the season.

  11. Brian Beatty says:

So they don’t die in the finale ?

  12. m3rcnate says:

Love this! So this “new franchise”….it would…not have them as leads I would presume? I mean they both have new shows they are leads on.
I would totally be down for a new Strike Back series but with female leads, or one is female and the other male or something awesome and different (not that i didn’t love two male leads).

  13. Ellinas1978 says:

Player will pretty much be dead soon so one of them will be free. Hopefully not the case with Blindspot.

  14. Elizabeth says:

Heck yes I would buy a ticket!!! I LOVE this show.

  15. James D says:

I knew this was coming. I will definitely be in the front row when it comes out. despite my disappointment with the final season.

Yes please…but seriously how can they top sneaking into North Korea?

  19. Strike Back is on my watchlist. With Sullivan on Blindspot and Philip on The Player (two shows I’m enjoying) I’m pushing it up my list

  20. Ray says:

Love this show, only wished Richmond would have made it. Seriously though, why would you join this squad? Besides the American agent who quit every other team member dies except the 2 leads. Also thought it was great casting to have an Australian play an American and an American play a Brit. Loving Blindspot and The Player, hopefully both shows make it. NBC has an itchy cancel finger.

  21. Carlos Lee says:

They better get Sullivan Stapleton and Philip Winchester back for the leading roles.
