Star Wars Rebels: Sarah Michelle Gellar Will 'Mess With the Jedi' (Video)

Sarah Michelle Gellar is aiming to hunt down the rebels and, you know, “kill them all,” as revealed in this first look at her Star Wars Rebels character, the Seventh Sister Inquisitor.

Debuting in Season 2 (which premieres Oct. 14 on Disney XD), the Seventh Sister is tasked by Darth Vader to track down the rebels and capture any surviving Jedi. She is described as conniving, manipulative and deadly with a wooden stake lightsaber.

All Inquisitors want to mess with the Jedi,” TV’s erstwhile Buffy notes in the video above. “That’s why we’re put on this Earth. Galaxy, I should say!”

Prior to Star Wars Rebels‘ return, Gellar will be a part of the animated series’ panel at New York Comic-Con on Thursday, Oct. 8.

  1. “Capture” the Jedi, lol. Only cause it’s a toon, heh.

    • hopemullinax says:

No, people have died in the show before. I mean look at Clone Wars. Season 4-6 killed a lot of characters! And then in Rebels, we’ve already seen the first Inquisitor explode and two men get their heads chopped off in an execution

    • hopemullinax says:

Part of me hoped this would be the return of Barriss Offee, but this is equally as cool.
So, are there six other sisters to be worried about? Are they like like the Nightsisters who, like the Inquisitors, could use the dark side of the Force? Maybe Asajj Ventress will return as well.

      • Ventress should come back. Rebels in general has the problem that if none of these characters show up in a movie (ideally, Rogue One), it will leave us with the impression that they all died prior to A New Hope.

I would like to see Ahsoka show up in what are the present-day movies post Force Awakens. I’ve said that much on Facebook and, given how old she might be at that time, Helen Mirren’s name has been brought up. That could work.

  2. Mr. Tran K says:

Called her Buffy the Jedi Slayer

  3. Concerned says:

I love smg she’s so cute!

  4. Carrie says:

    Love her!

  5. Steve F. says:

Is it just me, or does she bear a little resemblance to Barris Offee (Seventh Sister, not Sarah)? Either way, glad to have her on board – and also hope she has a bit of the snark still within her!
