Orange Is the New Black Season 3 Granted Early Release on Netflix

The ladies of Litchfield Penitentiary have been let out early — but definitely not for good behavior.

Netflix on Thursday surprised eager fans by posting all of Orange Is the New Black Season 3 on the streaming service around 9/8c, six hours earlier than it was originally scheduled to do so.

And we apparently have Uzo Aduba — one of TVLine’s dream Emmy picks — to thank for the early release. During an appearance at OrangeCon in New York, Aduba asked Netflix CEO Reed Hastings if he could flip the switch, and as you can tell, #HeSaidYes!

You can watch that magic moment happen below, courtesy of Samira Wiley’s Instagram video:

The countdown is over!!! HE SAID YES!!!! #SEASON3 #GOWATCHITNOW!

Netflix, in turn, followed with a special announcement of its own:

Now go! Go binge as much as your brains can handle, then check back with TVLine for our take on the Season 3 premiere in a little bit.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!
