Michelle Monaghan The Way

Jason Katims has hooked a big fish for his latest small-screen venture.

True Detective‘s Michelle Monaghan is set to star in Katims’ faith-themed Hulu drama The Way, TVLine has learned.

The 10-episode series, created by Katims’ fellow Parenthood scribe Jessica Goldberg, examines a family at the center of a controversial movement struggling with relationships, marriage and power.

Monaghan will play Sarah Cleary, a high level member of said movement navigating the truths — and untruths — colliding in her life.

The Way is slated to premiere in early 2016.

  1. Sam Shaw says:

I’m not against watching something that examines religion (Rectify does it brilliantly). But it’s worrisome that it’s called “faith-based” because that typically translates into “preachy and boring.”

    • Tony Lang says:

You’re confusing “Faith based” with “Starring Kirk Cameron… With Special Appearance by The Duggars”.

  2. HAP says:

Using the term “faith-based” when the only description “controversial movement” piques my curiosity simply because both Katims and Goldberg are Jewish.

  3. hud says:

Doubtless a waste of Michelle Monaghan’s talent.
