HBO’s Confirmation has cast its Joe Biden, as well as three other key roles.
Greg Kinnear will play the current U.S. Vice President in the film about the 1991 controversy involving the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas, our sister site Deadline reports.
Wendell Pierce (Suits, The Wire) and Kerry Washington (Scandal) star as Thomas and Oklahoma law professor Anita Hill, who brought forth allegations of sexual harassment against Thomas. As chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Biden oversaw the hearings.
Filling out the cast are Empire‘s Jennifer Hudson (as witness Angela Wright), Boardwalk Empire‘s Jeffrey Wright (as Harvard Law professor Charles Ogletree) and The Americans‘ Alison Wright (as Thomas’ wife, attorney Virginia “Ginni” Thomas).
