Ratings: Billboard Music Awards Hit 12-Year High, Dominate Night

ABC’s broadcast of the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night drew 11.1 million total viewers and a 3.7 demo rating, up 4 percent and two tenths from last year to hit 14- and 12-year highs.

Elsewhere…

CBS | The latest colorized I Love Lucy special did 6.4 mil and a 0.9. Leading out of that, back-to-back episodes of the cancelled Battle Creek averaged 5.2 mil/0.6, down 17 percent and two tenths to series lows.

NBC | A.D. (4.8 mil/0.8) and American Odyssey (2.7 mil/0.4) ticked down to season lows.

FOX | The Simpsons (2.8 mil/1.2) was steady, while Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2.3 mil/1.1), Family Guy (2.8 mil/1.3) and Bob’s Burgers (1.9 mil/0.9) all slipped.

Ratings for the Mad Men series finale, being a cable program and all, will come in significantly later. But really, who has read this far?

    I didn’t watch the Billboard Awards, and this morning after seeing some recaps I really wish I had. Looked like the best music award show that has aired in years.
