Fresh off its feting at the Tribeca Film Festival, USA Network’s Mr. Robot has fleshed out its cast.
Premiering June 24, the techno thriller stars Rami Malek (The Pacific) as Elliot, a cyber-security engineer by day/vigilante hacker by night who is recruited by the leader (Christian Slater) of an underground group to destroy the very firm, E Corp, he is paid to protect. The regular cast also includes Portia Doubleday (Mr. Sunshine), Carly Chaikin (Suburgatory) and Martin Wallström.
TVLine has learned exclusively that Michele Hicks (The Shield) has boarded the drama in the recurring role of Sharon Knowles, New York State’s Chief Information Security Officer. With a resume spanning the private, non-profit, and public spheres, Sharon is always looking for new challenges.
Michael Cristofer (Smash, right), meanwhile, will recur as Phillip Price, the E Corp CEO who in the face of corporate backstabbing, scandal and increasing instability, relies on the counsel of Sharon, his confidante. Relative newcomer Mitchell Winter will play Anwar, Price’s executive assistant.
Additionally, Randy Harrison (Queer as Folk, top photo) will recur as Harry, the stalwart spouse of AllSafe executive Gideon Goddard (Michael Gill) aka Elliot’s daytime boss.
