Saved By the Bell vet Mark-Paul Gosselaar is going back to his comedy roots, landing a starring role in NBC’s sitcom pilot People are Talking, TVLine has learned.
The multi-cam project from Growing Up Fisher‘s DJ Nash examines sex, race and everything else your parents told you never to talk about.
Gosselaar will play Mitch, a neurotic and optimistic college ethics professor who goes through life with a heightened attention to justice. Mitch knows he can’t change the world, but he’s determined to change his corner of it.
Tone Bell (Bad Judge) co-stars as Mitch’s best friend and neighbor Russell.
Gosselaar is coming off of a four-year run on TNT’s Franklin & Bash. He also recently recurred on CSI.
